The Baker’s Square and Outback restaurants in our city closed not that long ago. I heard that the Baker’s Square did not tell their employees, so when they came in to work, they found the doors locked and a note on the door, saying the place is closed. That’s even worse.
Is that even allowed? Over here you’ve got fixed lengths of time that employers have to give employees to find a new job. Closing down a business over night and saying, “That’s it, folks, no more pay starting today” would land the employer in front of a judge double quick.
it happens here all the time , we had a huge seafood restaurant do that to its employees a few years back. The place was only open a year and gave its employees the note on the door firing . Better yet people bought gift certificates for Xmas gifts and they were null and void , they were supposed to get the money back after the place went through littagation but i havent heard if they did or not
Greater Basilisk wrote:It was definitely hilarious, but I find it hard to believe that guy is a real politician in a real talk show, and that the whole thing wasn’t staged… Of course, politicians being what they are, I don’t suppose I should it surprising.
its a comedy skit from something like Saturday night live in Australia , they have more stuff on Utube , but this one was the best IMO

I knew what I was doing in Everquest, I’ve only been playing WoW for a little over 3 months and I already have two lvl 61 taurens among others. I’m really hating this hallows end quest since I’m too low to kill the headless horsemen and I really want the title you get for finishing it 😥
You get a title for killing the horseman? Do you mean the achievement? I killed the horseman and I just got the “Bring me the head of … oh wait.” achievement.
thats not the horseman, thats the shadow of the horseman. The real horseman is a lvl 70 epic boss that you have to summon and you get either a sword or helm as reward ..also the achievement for the kill a whole 30 :P. when you finish all the Hallows End stuff them you get the title The Hallowed

My kids inducted me to the WoW thing and I’m hooked. But I don’t know enough about it to really level up.
Like what is a Glyph? How do you get one?
I play in Altrec Mountains with the kids. Sadly, my 9 year old has to come and save my butt.
Seems I was “corpse camped” by an Alliance guild.
I mean really. What is the point of two level 70s killing a level 32? I wonder if they also push down little girls and take their candy!
So if anyone comes across the Junior Guild members… Please kill them for me. LOL.
It is a fun game and the creatures are really cool!Been playing since origional BETA, that’s what many of those I know Call Alliance Mentality. There’s a reason I cried when they deep sixed the dishonerable Kills thing again. And that’s ’cause of Crossroads. nMan they never left that place. It never did get quite so bad as it had been before, but still… One guild/group would leave just as another was getting in, and the poor flight master!!!
So everyones servers?
My Horde(5 cows…Death knight will be sixth Muhahhahah) are on the Origional Downhammer err umm I mean Doomhammer, and Alliance are on Zangamarsh. Also a couple of little piddling barely played chars on a few other servers, but I mean come on, on those 2 servers alone I got about 9/10 Charecters!! And no 70’s hell no 60’s even.Doomhammer – All Cows – MOOO
Shuanadithit – Druid (True Main-though not played near as much as I want)
Shonasdithit – Warrior
Dammasduit – Hunter
Desmaduit – Shamman
Killmedead – My baby shamman, made to run with Male’s Cow
I think I also may still have an unremembered Blood elf. note can’t remember if I killed her or not.Zanagamarsh
Meret – Druid (Theoretical Main, and Guild Leader)-Night Elf
Osprey – Hunter -Night Elf
Raylynn – Rogue -Night Elf
Melath – Shamman -Draenei
Lupin – Baby Druid – Night ElfDon’t think I have any more Charecters on that server other than Khym’s Night Elf Druid called Khyms, But he’s not playing it quite yet.

This was the last weekend for the Marylnd Renn fair , and since we only went once we decided to go today. It was really nice usually when we go its 90 degrees and really dusty so we end up leaving early . Not today it was in the high 50’s , low 50’s when we got there cool enough for the tip of your nose to get cold.. just right for Renn Fair costumes and the cool air kept a lot of folks away till about noon. The lines for the ponies is most of the time a mile long , not today we got Alyssa right on the pony with no wait. She seemed to like it she smiled and grabbed the horn while she went around the little track . when we were leaving at about 3 or so the line was half a mile long and the crowd was butts to …you know . here she is on her first pony ride

i hope every thing turns out well with the tap , i hope its just a nasty Plurual Pneumonia causing the fluid that they can resolve with a tube . the tube isnt all that bad if you need one its just a bit tricky moving and sore , i only took drugs for them twice and i had 6 of em … mine used to whistle 😛 . After a few Bronchs its not bad , if you need another one ask them to put some local novacane in your nostral and a twilight sleep , you wont feel a thing and wont be sore afterwards ..being wide awake durring one is not so pleasant even with novacane 😕
this is all over the net , its some guys pet . If you look he starts to swipe his foot at the cat making it pose more . Only a true moron would have a wild animal as a pet … $5 says next week we will see a video about a guy mauled to death in his sleep by his pet Lynx 🙄

emerald212 wrote:OK. Here’s an update:
Claire is done with her upper respiratory infection as well as the antibiotic, which I’m sure she is really happy about. I gave her a washcloth and brush bath, so she is sparkly clean. Her surgery incision is healing nicely and has scabs still on some of it, but the rest looks like it’s even past that point in the healing process.
She is eating more and playing with the laser pointer. She sleeps in my arms at night and cuddles, which she hasn’t done in about a year. She purrs more and begs for food from our dinner plates, which she has NEVER done. Her demenour is bright and happy.
However, she has two little patches on her head where there is no skin. These just appeared last night. One of them has no wound of any kind; it’s just missing fur. The other has a small, what looks like a puncture wound or a scratch, but there’s more bald spot than wound there.
I have no idea what could have caused this. I am going to ask my vet tomorrow when I bring Tasha in for her spaying surgery, but I thought I’d ask here first in case someone knows something. I know there are some vet’s assistants or previous vet’s assistants here, so maybe someone knows.
If one of the other cats did it or she scratched herself, both would have a wound. If it’s just stress, why is there a wound? I’m so confused. 😕
i know its different for cats then humans , but i have been on meds that make me itch like crazy to the point of opening myself up . Medication can / and will do a lot of weird things to you . I think half my symptom may have come from the meds fixing one thing and screwing up another
we took Alyssa to the pumpkin patch today . We go her a little one and she decided to take a piece of straw home too .here is a vid and some pics
