Very pretty. did you use gold on the tail tip? I like that.
Yep, I also used copper on the top part, but these images don’t show that angle.
And thank you bluepony…I started out not knowing what I wanted to do, so I just started with the basecoat as a start, next thing I knew, I had this.

Here’s the first Winged wolf I’ve ever done. This is for my sister in law, Amber. Hence the title.
The pictures of course do her no justice, she is soooo much more detailed in person. I just love her…sending her away is gonna be tough.
Anyway, comments welcome.

Lucky Duck! Flions are hard to get. I got one once, long ago for an ex boyfriend. I hope he still has him, but I sure wish I had gotten one for me too.
Now and then you see one on eBay, but the price skyrockets like mad, and it is out of my price range before I can blink.
We need to talk Melody in doing a new Flion, perhaps in a lying down pose, like the winged wolf.

I can send you a picture of her, along with a picture of what is left of her pad…it is nearly nonexistant. However, there is no doubt she is a Windstone.
So if a picture would help, I am happy to send one.
And if John would rather I send her to you, I can do that too. You guys just kindly sent me some PYOs and the box they came in is the perfect size. *grin*
I did do some repair work on her, and had to touch up her gold with a slightly different shade, but other than that, she is original.

Congrats on getting him. Whaaa! I wanted him sooooo bad.
I wish I could find one that was damaged that I could get cheap and fix up to look like that.
But man, that old oriental dragon is tough to find.
I figure it will be a long wait.

To answer GB…hopefully ME!!
*grin*

OOOhh…I know who I hope I get! Oh oh oh!
*crosses fingers like mad*

I’d be willing to try for just shipping costs.
No charge to repair…especially as I am not completely sure I can, until I see him. But I have repaired a few ceramics here and there that one would think were unsavable.
And I wouldn’t mind the challenge.
I thought you were gonna have Whippet fix him. I still haven’t been able to look at the pictures of how badly he was damaged.
I feel for you…I’d be willing to try to fix him…if Whippet doesn’t have the time.
Kyrin
If anyone decides they no longer want their oriental dragon, not the sun, but the original one. Let me know..I really really want one.
Of course what I really want is Dr. Whippet’s Koi Oriental, but barring that…I’ll take the other.
So before you offer to anyone else, please consider me first.
Thank you so much.

I love him, I am guessing that he has already found a new home?
So who got him? I wanna know! Tell tell!

I’m in…and for those who don’t like to paint ki-rins and those who want one. I’m open to do anything.
So we’ll see what our coodinator turns up. Only downside is I’ll have to order a ki-rin…*sigh*
I’m actually kinda hoping to get a dragon as choice, those just have so many details to paint, I just love ’em.
We’ll see what happens.
This is gonna be fun.

I just bought a Mother Dragon in Brown from eBay, and unfortunately her felt pad is totally ruined. Is there any chance I could get a replacement? If so, how do we do it?
I understand that Windstone won’t sell the pads directly, due to making it easier for fraudulent attempts at copies, but I’d really like to restore this girl. She has a few chips too, that I plan to repair.
Anyway, could I arrange to ship her to Windstone, have you guys replace the pad and then ship her back?
Nambroth mentioned storage issues, but I figure if I clean the bottom of her of all remaining felt material so she is ready for her new one, send her, then the staff there can put a new one on her and ship her back the same day she arrived.
Let me know if this could be done. If not, then I guess I’ll just get some felt from the craft store and replace it, it isn’t like I ever plan to sell her, but it would still be nice if she could be original in every way after she is fixed.
Kyrin
That’s an idea, I’ll ask if they would replace it if I shipped her to them. I’ll need to finish repairing her first though, or maybe just send her as is, get the felt replaced, then fix her.
It all depends on whether I can get it replaced at all though, I guess.

I also have to so some repair work on her, she has a few chips, but I’m not complaining, I got a good deal on her.
