One last comment…guys…we’re forgetting something…the large PYO dragon will be coming out soon, that one is the one that will let Purplecat really shine! And we can get her to paint for us!

Everyone has been painting such gorgous unicorns, and here I am, puttering along.

This is how she looks so far, she has almost all her dapples, still need to do the left side. Legs, mane and tail are still unpainted.
Comments welcome, I picked up some really neat blue antiquing, so I might be putting that on her a bit later.

I disagree with your assumption that no one wants him, I think he beautiful and would want him. However, he was one you painted specifically for yourself, and that lies the difference, I would not want to take something from someone that has sentimental value.
This is why my first winged kirin is not for sale, she was for me, and though others have hinted they would be happy to see her on the auction block, they know I don’t want to sell her, so they don’t push.
Anyway, I think you should get other PYOs to paint for sale, and keep your first one.
I never did get to see him all finished until now, just the WIP pics, and I have to say, he’s really gorgous.

I think Dragon Master has a good idea.
Could PurpleCat perhaps be able to get new dragons from the factory and do custom paint jobs and sell them on eBay like they do with Nam?
Not repaints, but actual sanctioned paintwork, with the same kind of agreement they have with the other artist, but with dragons?
Because, PurpleCat is good enough, and she really enjoys painting these, so it could be a possiblity, she would have to be limited, since she can crank these out a bit faster than Nam does the griffons, but still.
It’s something to consider. It would give her a source of income, allow her to keep painting Windstones, and be able to benefit Windstone as well. I see it as a win win.
This would also allow her to put in the gold accents and other cool details that are signature WE, but with her paint combos which are so awesome.
It has already proved out that there is a demand for this kind of customized OOAK pieces. So I think they should do it.
Wonder if John and Melody would agree, can’t hurt to ask, worst they could say is no, and considering PC’s level of skill, I think it would be a good way to offer more OOAK pieces. Though I’d suggest PC being limited to about 2 dragons a month, just to keep them in demand.
Downsides would be, she would no longer be able to sell the repaired repainted pieces, though according to Nam, trades are possible, just no sales or commission work.
I am not sure if it would affect PC’s commission work of PYO’s too or not, have to negotiate that, I guess.

I can see that, but damn, it still sucks. I really loved seeing what you did with your fixit projects.

Is it just the picture, or is the older one a tiny bit bigger than the other one?
I like the older version better, more colors and details.

I had a tortiseshell calico named that once, she gifted me with 4 kittens once. Capri was the name of Sybil’s cat, and at the time I just finished reading Sybil.
Another friend of mine had a calico named Seasons. She was really cool. She died a few years ago.
I think calicos are some of the neatest color patterns. No two are quite the same, even in the same litter. Did you guys know, that a queen can be bred by more than one tom, and have kittens by each one that bred her in the same litter? Is that weird or what. Same goes for dogs.

Yay, somebody’s made it safe and sound.
I still feel sad for those whose didn’t though.
Thankfully the last casualty wasn’t as bad the the previous one, but still, heartbreaking.
