I love the color the way it is.
I didn’t think so. Thanks for the clarification.

That’s okay, I’d be happy to take your share of them. 😆
Did they make a rainbow OW?
Congrats! I’m hoping to visit someday myself.
My Rainbow Scratcher came today! I’m so happy with her. I took a few photos with flash and without using what little natural light we have since it’s overcast and snowing (uck), flash captured those vibrant colors best.
I got my first fuzzy, too. 😀 They’re hanging out together on the shelf above my computer. Now I’m addicted to fuzzies too!
dark_zorse wrote:I watched and monitored this thread from the onset, and what disgusts me, is that AFTER it was known that someone had died, people posted something to the tune of “Oh that’s so sad… but can you keep such and such a piece for me?”. No doubt after I mention this, there will be a flurry of post editing to hide it all.
I completely agree. Some people are just like that. I do hope you’ll stick around, DZ. I know I can’t be the only one that appreciates your posts. Once the staff stops interacting with us, this place will become like all the others out there, and I really enjoy the closeness of it all. I never in my wildest dreams imagined we’d all be chatting with staff when I joined up here. Please stay?
That’s wonderful news that you’ve decided to keep them! I hope they bring you as much joy as they obviously brought Grandma Maggie.
Tiramisu.. Great, now I’m craving it!
The more I read of this, the more it saddens me. I really think her family would want at least the special pieces (the ones that are marked with sentiments), so they could keep a bit of her spirit with them. This last bit, the one with the quilt, has me typing through tears..
I’m so sorry the shopkeeper was rude to you, Aetharia. You’ve got a good heart, not everyone does. 🙁
You have to share some pics of the OW!
I love everyone’s new pretties! I didn’t like the sitting or the rising spectrals until I saw them in rainbow. You guys are making me want one now. 😆 I just got the confirmation that my rainbow scratcher is starting his journey this morning. Of course there will be pictures. 😀
I sent my PM loooong before it got to this point. When there was only one reply to her original post I believe. I’m not trying to “scavenge” anything. And I’ll be honest, I offered full going price if she has the pieces I’m looking for and is willing to part with them. What’s wrong with offering a loving home and a fair price? She DID ask for PMs.. This was before we had any idea of the scope of this.
I do hope we find out who this was. If nothing else just so we can light a candle in her memory and tell her she’s missed. In this day and age it’s not hard to track people, especially if you can get a foot in the door.
The tragedy of all this has made me realize that I need to add my collection into my will, as I’m sure it has many others. So something good has come of it. My skin crawled when I read the part about the .10 at a yard sale, seriously.
Take your time, Aetheria. There’s no rush and I hope no one is pressuring you.
February 11, 2008 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Burgundy Gold OW and Bronze Oriental Sun Dragon #2 #663861It really makes me wish I’d bid on the OW. 🙁 How sad that these folks have nothing better to do than jack up the bid for us legit buyers. It’s gotten to where I don’t even wanna bid on these big OOAK pieces anymore, despite that I’d love to have them. I mean, if they don’t win, nobody knows the bids’ been inflated right?
Good luck! Can’t wait to see what you find.
Just be sure to keep her nice and warm, and watch her closely for any sign of illness. I’m sure you know what to look for.
The key with getting birds to try new foods is to be consistent with them. If you offer it every day, eventually they’ll take a taste. It’s taken a while, but my flock will eat just about anythign I put down in front of those little piggies. 😆
