As always, I’m going the opposite: Metallic. LOL
(Yes, I know, not helping!)
He looks awesome either way though, and now the rest of us know not to try to paint white or red on a black base! 🙂
USPS will do the same thing; especially if you’re using their whole online postage setup. There’s actually a place to check that you want a pickup done. My father in law was running a hobby business from his home for several years, and that was one thing that really simplified it for him.
Best of luck in your sales!
Well, they seem to be getting attention from someone! The Kirin and the Fledgie are pretty up there.
The scratcher is too.
Like the “Silver Glitter” Melody did on the KiRin that’s listed.
I have been told that this color scheme was inspired by children’s books.
I can see that. I do tend to agree that the yellow isn’t quite working for me, though the rest I’m fine with. It does remind me of the kind of dragons I would have loved as a little girl.
I have to agree with chrisherself… It reminds me of ponies. MLP specifically.
LOL–actually, that’s a perfect example, especially for the little ones.
I have a batch of PYO MLP’s that I really need to get around to doing something with…they’re unlikely to be pastel if I ever finish them though! 😉
Congratulations!
I paid $250 for mine – it’s the only one I’ve ever seen for sale since they were in the store (I wasn’t on the forum then).
Thanks–$250-$300 is probably a fair target to start from at this point then, and I’d be totally fine with that. But I’m open to offers above that point if others don’t think that’s fair or have evidence of higher recent sales.
(and kiya, thanks again so much for your help on this. I really do appreciate it!)
If it helps I don’t think the store is going to have them any time soon – until the pewter horn problem is solved, it’s unlikely they will have any restocks on the horned dragons.
But, nothing is impossible! 🙂
It *does* help to know that…though obviously that’s not the happiest/easiest answer in this case. Thanks for the heads up on the issue; it gives me a better idea of what I’m up against.
I wish I had something fabulous to trade as an additional bribe to get someone to part with one of these….
It might help if you said how much you were willing to pay. That will occasionally get people to part with things.
I don’t _think_ there was a ton of these made. I’ve only see one I think since I’ve been on the forum and that was about 5 or 6 months back.
As far as the number made–I suspect too it was a fairly small number, just by what I’ve dug up in the forum.
Unfortunately, I’m honestly not certain what one of these is worth, which makes it harder for me to say, “oh yes, I’d pay X!” Obviously it’s not the Labradorite Lap (which would have been WAY out of my price range, though Lordy, is that ever a gorgeous dragon). Neither is it common. I haven’t found one for sale in the forum records to value against, and I’m too green myself to know what an equivalent color (or perhaps type) would be to use as an appropriate price range.
I’d say given the rarity and gambling on them not being back “soon”, that makes it fairly certain to me that a mint or NIB is worth more than store retail. The question is, by how much?
Open to thoughts/ideas/suggestions (public or private).

That fledgling is SO cute. Love the lavender & teal combo.
Flap cats and lap dragons! (oh please oh please oh please!)
*soft little whimpery squeak*
Another round of the copper lap dragon? Pretty please?
As I posted in the wanted thread:
I REALLY want a Copper Patina Lap Dragon. I’m working on a book right now, and as usual, characters are not cooperating. One turned into a copper colored dragon without my permission. LOL My husband asked, “Well, do you know what she looks like?”–that was easy, check Windstone and here she is! Now, of course, I want her on my desk for inspiration.
Any coppers would be welcome, but the Lap Dragon would have me absolutely overjoyed.
(I still have my original bat winged Siamese from something like ’89 or ’90 or so, in perfect condition. I PROMISE a copper lap dragon would receive the same tender loving care!) 🙂
