Okay, I haven’t posted on the forum since… um… 2006? (In the appropriately named, “Do you have a sister?” thread, here: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=226) But I’d like to chime in about Pearl.

She’s every bit as charming and loving, as described, and I honestly think she would warm up quick to anyone who fed her and paid attention to her. She never really gave me the time of day until our mom went into the hospital and I started being the one to feed her every day. As motivated as cats usually are to EAT, sometimes she will wait until I pick her up and give her cuddles before she’s even interested in eating.

I think the reason she’s an outdoor as opposed to an indoor cat is mainly because that’s what worked for my mom. She used to like to come into the house and sit on my mom’s lap in the evenings while she read or watched TV and when it was time for bed she got the boot. She’s never been box trained, but she’s a smart cat, I’d guess she’d figure it out.

She’s chatty, personable and ready to continue being spoiled rotten in a loving home. Mel can give you my contact info if you would like to meet her.

Mel’s sister, Pearl’s humble servant and other things I’ve been called that I probably shouldn’t mention here,

    or, Alt Subject Title:
“Every Party Has A Pooper That’s Why We Invited You!”

Hi, I’m Christine, Melody’s mythical sister. I’m not online at the right time, but just wanted to pop in and say hello since Chess was kind enough to send me an invite.

I’ll try to come back at the right time in between feeding and wishing I could sedate hysterical dogs and cats and/or myself. That is of course if my Sims game doesn’t eat my head completely before then.

    At any rate:

    Happy Anniversary Windstone Forum!

    Keep it real, dudes!

    Update (6/2/07):

OK, I’ve tabulated the responses from the 17 people who responded and found the best times. It turns out that there was no single time that worked for everyone. Actually, to ensure that everyone can attend at least one celebration, we need to have a triple celebration — two on July 4 and one on July 7!

Here are the times for the 3 celebrations (Pacific time, a.k.a. GMT-7):

    July 4

11AM PDT (10/17 people can attend)
5PM PDT (8/17 people can attend)

    July 7

2 PM PDT (14/17 people can attend)

I think quite a few people who didn’t respond might show up — we just might set a record! 😀 Hope everyone makes it to at least one of the celebrations!
