LOL! True bout the wings…but look at this guy (under me)…he’s got the super shiny gloss on him, I think that is makes all my colors brighter and more vibrant…I dunno I am really partial to SHINY things π I am not really for “flat” things. I guess we all have our likes and dis-likes.
LOL, was it mine Ski??? under “DragonsLairTreasures”?
The Black and blue Dragon? If so then π yes, for some reason the BLACK makes the gloss SUPER shiny π― …But “DDVM” (also forum member I found out) sure fell head over heels for it though when she got the dragon πfrozendragon wrote:Arlla wrote:Greater Basilisk wrote:Wow indeed! That kirin is too beautiful, Arlla! It must have taken a lot of patience and care to paint the scales and leave the white lining. Or did you antique in white?
LOL I missed this question the first time round…Yes, I antiqued with white, using the paper towel method! It actually came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECT the first time I did it…but then I seriously gouged the paint somehow and had to strip it and do it over…it’s not as perfect this time round. π But I think it still looks pretty good!
all I do now is the paper towel method….I tried sponges or rags…
a wet paper towel works better than anything else for me….
Really? Exactly how do you use the wet paper towel? Your ANTIQUING IS PERFECT! π

Thanks for the support– I think I may raise the price a bit so at least a make a couple bucks for my time(just like you said)– I think I probably lost money on this one– between ebay and paypal etc… oh well. I did my best and thats what matters– plus it did sell so I can buy another!
I also love them too much to stop– unless I started not selling anything which I know won’t happen.– even then I would still make them for myself! Thanks again- I knew I would feel better after talking to my pyo fam!
OOoOoOOO!!!! Girl PASS A glass of THAT on OVER here! LOL! You know what, anything for a friend, even though we are just over the computer LOL, I still feel like this is “FAMILY” π π Yea, between listing fees and final value fees…yea maybe a few bucks….OH well! We LIVE and LEARN, right? Just do like I am doing…start them out at around 50-60, depending on the amount of time you put into it so at least it will cover the auction fees π I EVEN put that clause in my listing (just a tip π )and there is NO money lost at all, and you can get another to paint EVEN better than the last! We all ESPECIALLY ME..LOL…I KNOW get better at them with EACH one I do. π

Don’t get discouraged… You win some, you lose some.yeah- that kinda what I thought too- and I’m sure it will be loved and maybe they will want to bid again soo thats a positive π
Yup, re-read mine above I added to it…..Should explain a little about it. AND your right….they will come back for more! Just like this commision Wolf I have below me. I didnt make SQUAT off of the auction, but she came around ONE week later had just LOVED the one I had done (from the auction) and wanted me to commision that WOLF! It DOES HAPPEN! π AND she told me when she gets more money built up shes coming back for another PYO! π I guess it just takes time, and the “right” person to buy JUST one from you and realize how much MORE beautiful these are in person….and PICTURES SUK! π

And people dont know that their missing…yea well…I dont know what to say bout that one LMAO, HE tried! HAHA! I at least put mine up for at least 50 to 55 to cover (if it does sell) my time into it..WHICH still may not be sufficient! I just want you to know…I feel the pain with you. π **CHIN UP GF!!**
WOW! Thank you guys! Think I should take out OOAK, just in case someone wants one as well?
GB, “Spirit” is her name, I consider her the “Medicine Man” of my Wolves (If there is a demand for them for the series). NOW, if you come up with something better that strikes your fancy…..let me know I will gladly ADD to her Name π
Ok, cool with me! π
YEA! That Rox! COUNT me in NEXT time! π π BTW when IS the next time? LOL π―
Yuppers! Gimmmeeeeee LOL π π

hmmm….is that good or bad… π
I had fun with that….you should see it in person…so many coppers and golds…and glittery looking….
I have to do something else like it…cause it’s too cool even though I don’t usually like my own stuff
Thats a good thing. Everyone is always talking about how great I blend, but I totally suck in comparison to you! LOL! That dragon is unreal! =)
OHHHH STOP! You are amazing too DragOn!!!! I WANT MY GRIFFIN!!!! **whines** π
drag0nfeathers wrote:*does a dance* Oh yea, all finished! Super shiny! I wanna post pictures *whines* I hope my secret PYO person likes it =)
DragonsCavern, next time you will do this with us too yes?
K, BLONDE MOMENT! Am I reading this right?….There was a “secret” trader, kinda like “Secret Santa”??? If thats the case HECK yea I am in! π
Greater Basilisk wrote:Well, DC, this wolf looks great. Very American Indian. The wings look somewhat flat, but I think that’s just the picture.
About OOAK – I wouldn’t bother with that claim too much. Since she’s hand-painted there’ll never be another like her, but why deny the possibility of making another one similar if someone wants it?
As for the series, series are fun. If I were you, I’d look into American Indian spirits. Take the spirits worshiped by a certain tribe, or take all the spirits you can find for wind, water, earth, or whatever element, and make a wolf for each one. That’ll give you a guideline of how many to do.WOW! What an amazing Idea GB! Thanks for the Ideas! I “OWE” you one! And Thank you for the compliment! YES, the wings have more to them than it looks, but I didnt want them to take away from the “whole” wolf, ya know? π Theres ALWAYS a METHOD to the MADNESS! HEHEHEHE!!! π π π
littleironhorse wrote:Responding as a buyer, and not offended at all. I sort of feel that with your solution Mipa, you’d just be transfering responsibility to the buyer. Some people are incapable of saying no, even if that is the way they really feel, which isn’t at all my case π , but you might end up with bad feelings and as a selling artist, I’m guessing this is something you do not want to do.
You could have a point there, but like I said, everyone has their own opinion and its hard to judge by that….its like playing roulette! Some you loose and some you win. (Yes, I am from Vegas LOL).
