I got my first two Windstones today (well fourth and fifth if you count the Tiger kitten I’ve had for years, the pyo wolf, and the sentinel gargoyle that my mother destroyed by putting him outside)! *happysquee*
lol not the best photos in the world… I got a new tripod for my camera today too, yay! I might look into getting one of those photo tent things sometime too.
I’m working on selling a couple things now, so if all goes well I should be adding to my collection very soon! π
edit: You know, I never realized the dragons had feathers on their wings until I saw one in person. lol!
Cool! Congrets! Those are great pics…I love that little griffin π

I’m so sorry about what you’re going through ski. I do feel, like many others have said before me, that family does come first. My dayjob is teaching creative writing to inner city kids, for a non-profit, and everyday I see how parental support at home plays a HUGE part in their child’s education and character development. Explore your options, before deciding anything. Make informed decisions. Good luck…I wish you all the best!

I’m not into milk…but I love caffine! π
Seriously I gave myself a seizure twice because of my caffine addiction! First time was on a trip to Italy, when I was just 12 or 13. I had 3 expressos, couldn’t sleep all night and had a seizure in the morning. Second time was when I was cramming for finals in college. I stayed up 3 days straight on Red Bull, Mountain Dew and coffee. I had a seizure after my last exam! π
I really can’t function in the morning without 2 cups of coffee. I don’t like the “fu-fu” lattes or other flavored, sweetened coffees. I like mine strong, black, and American! π (that really doesn’t sound right) π

Have you heard of Jonathan Brookins. He used to work with me. I got to see Ben saunder a few times and now he is on the new UFC show on team Serra π . Matt Hughes is going to embarrass him.
I PM’d you about this π
I guess it comes down to what you want. If you are a regular smoker, it will be hard to train cardio. First days are always killer, even when you are in shape, because your body has to adjust to the pacing, so don’t worry bro. But I have to tell you when you are in shape, and everything is clicking, it is a beautiful thing!
You do have to give up alot when you’re training. Most people see training as padwork, sparring, rolling etc., but that’s the fun part. The sucky part, the part I’m going through right now, is the cardio conditioning, and dieting. The miles and miles you have to run, the same bland food you have to eat day after day. Luckily it is just a hobby for me! π
The cool thing about mma is that if you are a regular at the mma gyms, you’ll eventually get to train with the “stars” of the sport. What other sport can claim this? If you are into golf, you’re never gonna get a chance to shoot some holes with Tiger Woods. Most mma guys are really nice also.
I’m pulling for Serra btw. He’s probably gonna lose, but I love the underdogs! π
Well if you have more money than sense…go for it I guess… π―
For the rest of us…TIME TO UNLOAD!!! π
vapordragon wrote:Cool. What team do you fight for. What style is your favorite.
I love ground and pound. You have to when your 5’6″Hahaha…cool…well I used to be with Saul Soliz, Houston Metro Fight Club/ Team Punishment, but I train with anyone I can. I might go back there for my training this time.
I’m mostly a stand up guy, that’s where I’m comfortable, so I do alot of Sprawl and Brawl. I have a background in K-1 style kickboxing, and muay thai as well. I’m 5’10 so my legs aren’t too long either, so I mostly use the open or half guard off my back. I don’t have alot of confidence yet with my subs, in mma situations, although I can hang with most blues no gi. I mainly try to sweep, to get back up.
I guess I model myself after Crocop, before he sucked it up in UFC π
So do you train also Vapor? If so where? I heard Big Nog’s in Florida?
Ok…so I’ve mentioned on some threads that I’m really into Mixed Martial Arts (mma/ UFC/cagefighting), and that I plan on fighting again in the next couple of months (gonna be longer than that btw). π
Thing is I have to lose some serious weight by Thanksgiving (how ironic is this deadline π ), to make this remotely possible.
I’m going into serious training mode after Thanksgiving, after I reach my fighting weight.I plan to compete around 180-185 lbs, at around 10-12% bodyfat. Right now I’m walking around at 215, so I have at least 30 lbs to lose. Not a big deal for 6 weeks.
This means tons of cardio! And oatmeal! And chicken breast! YUCK!
I guess I’m posting on this forum, to hold myself accountable, for my training/weight loss. I was around 190 lbs, at the beginning of summer, but I really let myself go. So, I really need to get my weight down, my cardio up, to go back and train hard with my boyz, by Thanksgiving’s end.
Check in on me from time to time to get my butt back in gear, and wish me luck! Thanks guys! π
Jasmine wrote:I hear it was really good. It was screened at the Toronto Film Festival a couple of weeks ago. I heard one review that said that it was actually better than the original, and how rare is that?
Unfortunately I most likely won’t be seeing it in the theatres, hunny isn’t a big fan of westerns. I’ll probably end up renting it.
Well I’m not a big fan of westerns either…who is these days? π Tell your ‘hunny’ that it’s a REALLY GOOD action flick, and drag him to it…he’ll love it…I promise π

Ditto that! I’m so sorry about your situation. π I wish I was there! I’d be your bodyguard… take care, and please be careful what ever you do….

Silver, how do you find this stuff?
I think that nobility rating is all screwed up! π Either that or the most noble of our species are attracted to this forum π

Yay! I’m a bat, and I’m supposed to be more noble than 99% of everyone that took the test in my age group. I dunno how because they also said my nobility ranking is 9 out of 18… π
On a kinda related note…does anyone collect Zuni fetishes? They are carving of animals, that have special qualities and/or powers. Not trying to hijack the thread, but reminds me of them… π
I collect them. I don’t by them on the basis of their powers or anything. I go for nice looking stones, well carved, etc.
Cool! A fellow collector! I go to zuni pueblo once a year. I’ve met some of the carvers actually. The pieces are MUCH cheaper there. I collect fetishes by Travis Lasaloo, Ricky Laahaty, Michael Coble, and Wilfred Cheama. Yeh, I collect on the look also, but have at least one of each major animal plus the corn maidens. I think Im just missing the cats. Oh well next year… π π
dragonmedley wrote:Mine’s a bat… I dunno about this π
But the test was cool!
Bats are cool! They are the ultimate underdogs! My wife is crazy about them, because she always does a unit on bats each year with her students. They are very misunderstood creatures, because of the whole rabies thing. In truth they don’t carry the disease more than other mammals. They also help control insect population. She thinks they are fuzzy and cute. I agree π

Leave feedback AFTER you receive feedback from them, if you are a seller.
If buyers are unsatisfied with something they need to contact you first so you can try and work it out. I know it seems kinda rotten because you’ve cleared their payment, but don’t be in a hurry to leave them “positive” feedback, and trust that they will do the same for you. You don’t want your rating screwed by a disgruntled buyer, especially when you are starting out.
I know a lady that has an e-bay drop off business and she said that she used to leave positives right after she received payment, but she would have buyers that leave her negative for shipping costs or minor condition issues (ie. the original box has adent in it), without contacting her first. She was more than willing to partially refund for things like this, if they contacted her. So withold your feedback until you get feedback from them.
Look out for yourself. π
