I will have to double-check with Susie, but I don’t see why we couldn’t send you a box later. Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to email her so she has you on file.
Yay, more twitterers!
I don’t have a personal account there… I should probably get one.
And yes, the only point is to post one-liners about what you are doing. It’s surprisingly addictive, or so I’m told! I think it would be fun.
We don’t have any inserts right now for any newly packaged pieces because we don’t have the insert stamping machine set up. Instead, we’ve been using a TON of bubble wrap… it’s either that, or put off selling new items until we have the space cleared out and have found the machine.
Hey guys,
Some of you may know that Melody started a Twitter account for Reptangle. Now there is a Windstone Editions Twitter!
Hopefully we will be able to keep it up to date with current auctions and what’s in the store, as well as with what is going on at the factory.
Go check it out HERE!!!
Also, if anyone has any tips as to how to use Twitter… let me know. I’m a little lost, because I’m unfamiliar with how the site works.
Thanks for looking!
By the way, what prices would everyone deem “cheap enough”? Keep in mind that we can’t quite give them away, and also that we would still have to charge shipping.

This would be a great opportunity, then!
emerald212 wrote:Since those are all regular production, it doesn’t do me any good since I can get them all wholesale. Unless the discount applies to the wholesale price as well. I would maybe stock up on some of them if that’s the case.
We haven’t figured out the specifics yet, but these would be considerably steep discounts. We would essentially offer prices to lower the amount of space these things take up in the inventory area. But only to the Collector’s Club.
Of course, we have to do this in a way that isn’t stepping all over the toes of stores. Not sure how that will work.
Hey guys, we are further considering the idea of a Collector’s Club, and trying to determine what sort of benefits this would provide to those who join. The idea is to find a way for these benefits to help Windstone out while providing cool deals and exclusive opportunities to the members at the same time.
The items listed below are all overstocked. By offering these to an exclusive group of people (you!) at a discount price, we would be able to free up inventory space. It’s the season of giving, and we realize that the average grandmother or aunt will probably not want a dragon for Christmas– nor would the average grandchild or niece/nephew want to bust that kind of money! (No offense to any generation meant– but admit it; it’s true.) Therefore, cheap cats, bunnies and castles are probably a good option.
Think about it, and let us know. Thank you as always for your input and time!
*Edit* In case anyone would like to see what the Castle Weinberg looks like, thanks to Astral Castle, we have pictures here. These would not be immediately available, as the ones we have are not entirely finished; depending on enthusiasm, the number we complete could be anywhere from zero to tons. But just in case that one isn’t getting voted for because no one knows what it looks like, I thought it would be a good idea to offer a photo (personally, I love the castles and think they should be given more attention!).

He tried. Thankfully, due to the inefficiency of parrot beaks, he dropped it before the winner was lost to us forever. *laugh*
BiPolar’s name IS John… and he might be talking about anyone who calls and asks for “John”… We just had that confusion a moment ago, but I think that was a special case.

Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. I just zipped through that series this week… I know I’ll be coming back. Repeatedly. And soon. I was actually kinda hoping I wouldn’t get all the hype, but it didn’t end up that way… I feel ridiculously like a rabid teenage fangirl right now . I’ll have to hold off on the movie for a bit though… it’s too soon for them to mess with the images and story in my head.
I ADORE the Forgotten Beasts of Eld! That was one of my favorite books in elementary school. I used to figure it out in my head: my pet iguana could be the dragon, my pony could be the unicorn, I’d have a cat of course (wasn’t there a large feline, too? It’s been so long since I read that book…) and of course I’d have a tame cockatiel to be that magical bird thing. And then I could pretend that I had all the forgotten beasts in my backyard.
Also, Twilight. What is the deal with it? I don’t understand! Someone I watch on LiveJournal quoted a good deal of the first chapter, and I have to say, the writing is /terrible/ unless I’m very mistaken. People love it, though! Is it worth reading? I mean, President-elect Obama is even reading it with his daughter. But from what I’ve seen… it’s so, so bad. I don’t get it. Does the writing improve after the first chapter??? I couldn’t even bring myself to enjoy the characters because the writing was so bad, and the story… well. It just struck me as whiny and angsty, and there really wasn’t anything there that made me want to keep reading, except perhaps a fascination with how amazingly bad it was.
If there’s something I’m missing, please forgive me for bashing a book I haven’t even read all the way through… Is it just something you have to love from the start, or is it one of those things that grow on you over time?
And here I am, dragging us slightly off topic. I really am curious, though.
Other books I absolutely love, but haven’t re-read, are The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho (Maya Hill actually turned me onto this one… It’s amazing), and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. I intend to reread these very soon.
“Debt”!! Hahahaha! That’s great!
I think I’ve heard “glory” for unicorns, too, but that also might have been from Bruce Coville.
I read a letter in the opinions section of Eugene Weekly today that pointed out an interesting point– if you look at GW Bush’s presidency, it’s actually the most successful one we’ve had, at least in a long time, in that almost everything he said he was going to do, he DID. The only problem is that almost nothing he accomplished was beneficial! But the point is, he ACCOMPLISHED IT. And called it beforehand.
So if we have a president that fails a little more at getting things done, it might actually be a good thing. Who knows. We’ll just have to wait and see!
Disclaimer: I’m sorry; I’m supposed to stay neutral. I’m just excited because I got to vote for the first time.
Also, remember when I said it was historic? I changed my mind. Bill Clinton was totally the first black president! 🙂

Wait… does that mean your degree doesn’t carry over into other parts of the country? That’s crazy.
Yeah! I logged in expecting to find a full out battle, hehe, so you guys are awesome for keeping it relatively passive.
