The top image is a carefully annotated rendering I did of the 2015 January raffle prize, “Jay”.
Jay is a mother griffin that is airbrushed in basic black with pretty shades of light to dark blue on her feathers. She reminds me of a Stellar jay. I think she was given her basic colors by Brandi, as a rough test of the “Blue Morpho” color scheme. I finished her up.
Lower image is a photo of Jay, taken by Pam.
If you would like a chance to win Jay, send me an email with your real name, address and forum name with the words “January 2015 raffle” in the subject line (or I may not find your entry).
My email is: reptangle ( at) gmail (dot) com
I usually announce the winner in the evening of the last day of the month… unless I forget. (I sometimes loose track of what day it is!)
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I can see her perfectly!
Haha, beautiful! 🙂
This rendering is magnificent. XD
LOL!!! The rendering made me smile from ear to ear! The look on the face is PRICELESS! I’m considering entering the raffle if the sketch comes with “Jay”. 8)
Hahaha….that’s funny. I’m sure Jay is as beautiful as all your other pieces (especially in the Blue Morpho).
LOL she is adorable!
Rofl! Did a quick look up of the Stellar Jay…I’m so oblivious to the variety of bird species. Dang! That is a pretty bird. I like the little white markings on their foreheads (though some of them seem to have those markings in blue instead). Very neat!
Edit: Ooh la la! I’d love to win her, she’s gorgeous! Plus, I’m a sucker for blue.
She is very pretty!
He looks just like the stellers jays by my home! If I get him I want to put him near the window so all of the bluejays will be jealous of the most beautiful bluejay 🙂
I have always loved the dragons, griffons and other creatures created and painted here… They are always so gorgeous. 🙂
Wow! She is so gorgeous! She looks like the midnight sky.
I keep forgetting to come here at the end of the month to enter the raffle! Shame about this month, because Jay is gorgeous (like that’s a surprise). Congrats in advance to whoever the lucky winner is!
