I added pics of my latest PYO to the gallery, so I thought I’d share here too! This is my first PYO dragon, inspired by the mineral rhodochrosite. It’s got these lovely pink and white bands which the dragon sculpt lends itself well to! She’s painted with a base layer of dark pink wash, then layered over with stripes of color. She has a lot of metallic accents, interference red highlights in spots, and light gold accents too. All of those little stripes took FOREVER to paint, thank goodness for small brushes! 😆
I’m looking forward to painting more gem and mineral-inspired PYOs. This is what I get for being a geologist I guess! If anyone has any ideas of their own, I’m open for commissions. Hope you all enjoy!
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!
Well, I don’t like Pink dragons, so I won’t comment on the color :P, but ignoring color, I think it’s pretty interesting the way you painted the scales. Very nice 🙂
