Got him home! Here he is compared to his little brother! I thought he would be about the size of the Mother..he is much bigger. LOVE that bright peacock too!yes, he is a handsome fella, congradulations!! i want one too! i saw my first warrior myself this weekend and i too was shocked with how big he really is. he was a peacock as well, but boy was he washed out color wise, not a luminous,deep peacock like yours! i’m sure some of it was due to your flash etc, but boy he was SO dull in the store, with LOTS of that dull dusty grape, which got almost pinky in tone in places, he looked either cold or a little drunk with his pinkish nose! lol! he wasn’t an old one per the shop keeper, she said he got him in june, and he was kept up high on a shelf the whole time. weird, but hey that’s part of what makes them special, each one is different. yours is absolutely awesome though!!lucky you!!!

Secret Keeper is what I meant- and from one of the shop keepers- he said for the female gryphon but I doubt she’s that much…?

I think your shop keeper is making things up so that he sounds like he knows what he’s talking about.

though I think the Secret Keeper will be that price XD But the Mother Gryphon shouldn’t be that much more than the male X3 Yes she’s bigger, but she shouldn’t retail for too much more than he did–Anybody know when either SK or Mother Gryphon/chicks are supposed to be out?
Mother gryph and chicks are supposed to be out within the month.
Secret Keeper has no date, as they still haven’t fixed the weight problem, and seem to have put it on hold for a bit while they concentrate on other things. Seems like that to me, anyhow. I can add that to my list of stuff to pester Melody about when I see her this weekend.
But anyhow, I wouldn’t expect to see Secret Keepers in stores until sometime next year.
That’s plenty fine. That way we have time to save – or spend on the newly retireds we don’t have yet.

I’ll second SPark… sounds like he’s feeding you numbers! Secret Keepers are on hold as far as I knowl.. indefinately. They haven’t fixed the weight issue, because as it stands if they ever have them returned they end up losing money on them due to shipping costs. I sincerely doubt they know how much the Secret Keeper will retail for until they have the weight issue down-pat and know how much it will even cost to produce and ship them. If they are retailed at all.
And he’s out of his mind if he thinks the female griffin will retail for $750! I don’t know concrete numbers for her either but that’s a little rediculous. 😉Maybe he’s just …. confused. 😉

The mother gryphon might be more, I dunno. Remember that the males hit retail many years ago- prices and production costs have indeed gone up since then, so she might be a bit more pricey. But definately not $750. 😉 Melody gave a soft estimate that the mother giffins might be out -on eBay only- this month, but nothing is ever for sure because they depends on so many different things that are out of their control. Secret Keepers are indefinately on hold last I heard.

Do you know if this actually is a problem for the big Rock Dragon as well, even though its already in production? I think that piece is almost as heavy as the Secret Keeper…its at least 30 lbs…

I don’t know… but they’ve been retailed so either it’s not a problem, or they don’t care. 😉
They did underestimate the costs on it though and they may have been losing money. That’s why the smaller rock dragon is almost as expensive… they obviously didn’t want to make that mistake twice. I don’t know all the inner workings of Windstone Finances unfortunately. 😆
Also something to keep in mind is that the rock dragon is concrete, perhaps they anticipated less of them being returned as they are much harder to cause damage to? We all know how easy it is to get paint rubs or chips on the gypsum Windstones (which could potentially cause them to be returned), but this may not be as much of an issue for the concrete pieces.
