December 16, 2011 at 3:07 am #865821I got notice of mine…. I love that comic! Thank you… uhh, they included your real first name, but not the forum name, so I don’t know who to thank!
It is darjeb – glad you are happy with the gift I sent you.
Thrilled! Thank you so much, I can hardly wait for the next issue to come out. 🙂
Windstone collector in remission. 😉
December 19, 2011 at 10:33 pm #866338I got my package today from Siberakh1!!!! Sibe you out did yourself!!!! I LOVED everything!!!! She wrapped everything so pretty, it was like opening a box full of silver and gold stars! The body washes were perfect as I love both apple, and vanilla! The little treats you sent were amazing! The candle smells wonderful! I have never heard of a peppermint pig (which of course my Mom has so she told me all about it) and the pure maple syrup, and pure maple syurp candies were awesome (which I will have to buy more of the candies, those are awesome! I LOVE the apple butter too! The chips got passed around and we all read the story and shared them…tasty and funny story! I had no idea! I don’t know how you knew I crochet but thank you for the pretty baby yarn! and Lula Anne will definitely love her froggie rattle! The icing on the cake was the beautiful lithograph of little siberian huskies…what a thoughtful gift! Thank you so very much!!!!!!
She will be snuggling with her froggie tonight! She says thank you! 🙂
December 19, 2011 at 11:06 pm #866339Oh I’m so glad it got there and you like it! I meant to have it out sooner, but traveling for training got me a bit behind! ^_^;; *hehe* You mentioned on the questionnaire that crocheting was something you liked to do to relax (and brush huskies 😉 ).
I had a bunch of yarn I bought for a yarn basket for a raffle last year and the event got cancelled, so I finally found a home for some of it where it could be put to good use (I don’t knit or crochet, just sew costumes). I tried to get local foods that you probably wouldn’t see as commonly in your part of the country (and support some local business at the same time). I live less than a mile from an apple orchard and maple products are pretty common in my area. The Peppermint Pig and potato chip are both Saratoga Springs, NY inventions and I thought they’d be perfect (and Saratoga Chips are soooo good!). They now make ‘pig poop’ now (the remains of the pig making process, so it doesn’t go to waste, and a tasty snack *lol*). 🙂 I’m only 10 minutes from there and it’s such a fun place in the summer when horse racing season starts up.
I tried to find a husky ornament and NO ONE had anything! I did a search on Etsy and that little print just seemed perfect, I’d get it before Christmas, and the seller was so nice! I didn’t know you were expecting until someone posted that you had just had a little one after I had given out names! I saw the little froggy when I was out for lunch with my mom and I just loved his little face and had to include him! I’m sure Lula will enjoy her new little friend for her first Christmas! Merry Christmas!
December 19, 2011 at 11:20 pm #866341Having been all over the world (I am active duty Navy) I have seen and sampled so many different cultures and treats…but sometimes I forget how much history home has to offer. I loved that you went and found those things…it reminded this old sailor that there is still many customs that run deep in the veins of the country I have served for a decade. I already plan to break Mr. Pig on Christmas day with my children and my Mom (who lives next door) and my husband. After reading the little card with the story on it I just about cried…because if things had gone according to the Navy’s plan I would be floating in the water by Asia right now, instead I am getting to spend it with my family…the story talked about celebrating happiness and prosperity…and that really is the truest gift anyone can get. Especially since I have missed so many of my childrens birthdays, 4th of Julys, Christmases, Thanksgivings…I am truly blessed to be in the USA, at home, and surrounded by wonderful caring people…including yourself. Thank you Siberakh…

Who all hasn’t gotten their packages yet?
December 20, 2011 at 12:55 am #866360I haven’t received mine yet, but it’s not problem. My only worry is that it arrives on Friday as I’m going out of town for the Holidays, but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it…
December 20, 2011 at 10:52 pm #866536Aww, seeing everything is neat. I wish I could have participated, but alas, money these days is non-existent for me. Maybe next year!
December 21, 2011 at 2:12 am #866539edit: lol wrong thread 😛
December 21, 2011 at 3:24 am #866598I received a big box of goodies and two DVD’s from Tinks late this afternoon and will post pictures as soon as I can. Tinks also was wonderful enough to send Spanky (my chow ) a Christmas gift of toys and it contained 3 balls which are his favorite toys thank you for thinking of him I appreciate that vry much.
December 22, 2011 at 3:43 pm #866841Well, it sounds like LIH is the only one who hasn’t received? The other package that seemed missing by UPS has gotten there by hand delivery (UPS lost the first package – stupid UPS).
December 22, 2011 at 8:08 pm #866860I got a box of goodies from Toprem today! Will post pics asap!

I just hope it doesn’t arrive tomorrow since I’m going out of town for a few days. I’ll ask my neighbour if he can take it in if he sees it, but I don’t know if he’s in town either.
We’ll see…
