Definitely. It’s nice of you to provide this kirin for Dracomancer’s benefit, romeodanny.

My most wanted list: Peacock kitty wizard, carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties
June 12, 2008 at 11:15 pm #684639This is the how far I’ve gotten so far with the gypsy vanner kirin. I need to do something with the tail, and I’m not sure if I’ll go darker on the brown areas or not. I’m thinking of antiquing with black so the reddish colour won’t be there anymore. I kind of like the red so I’m debating that right now.
June 13, 2008 at 1:54 am #684640He’s very pretty but I think I’d like him better if his markings followed his scale lines more. But that’s just me *shrugs* I love the colors though it’s reddish brown very nice!
June 13, 2008 at 1:59 am #684641He’s cute! π

Sorry, I’m being petty this morning. You said that Leigha’s is impressive. Her markings didn’t follow the scale lines either. So what makes hers impressive and mine *shrug*?
Let me know maybe I can improve and actually understand better. Thank you for the constructive criticism I do appreciate it.
(I’m basically following the lines on a real horse. So, I won’t change the markings even if nobody likes them!)

I think it was just me being pissy about everything yesterday. Alot of people got random criticism from me. Today I don’t know what I posted that, today I really like him! I had a bad day and I took it out on you people… I’m a painter and they made me mop a 5 story stairwell with ripped to shreds mops.
I’m sorry…. π³ I think I need to learn to think before I type.
I’d give you chocolate but you are nowhere near me, I think.
June 13, 2008 at 9:14 pm #684645π It’s alright. I didn’t take it badly. It just sounded like I did. Thank you. I do really appreciate constructive criticism so you’re safe. π Don’t worry, it takes much, much more than that to hurt my feelings. π

Okay… I would try to figure out what it was that made me not like it but that would require going back into pissy mood again. And with me, that’s generally a VERY bad idea….
June 17, 2008 at 3:35 am #684647I think he’s looking good so far and I really like the proportions of white and brown on his face.
July 14, 2008 at 12:58 am #684648I’ve finally found some time to paint…. So here is another progress pic, I still have to “pink” the nose, and a few little things like finish the mapping etc. I’ve antiqued the mane and tail in the white areas with pearl, I did go over the brown again with a lighter brown and antiqued it with burnt orange. (I really can’t see much of a difference) I’ve added the colour to the scales on the legs and tail. (There is also some colour now to the hooves but, I’m not happy with them yet. They are just too yellow.)
So, what do you think of it so far?
