Can anyone explain to me what hidden auctions are and how to look them up? I’ve read a few references to them and have no clue what they actually are. 😕 Any insight would be awesome. Thanks!! 🙂
Hidden auctions are called hidden because they can’t be looked up 🙂 It’s when someone lists a windstone but doesn’t include the word “windstone” anywhere in the auction. You have to find these by accident. Usually the only people who find them are those who search eBay regularly for anything dragon/unicorn/griffin/etc related but not specifically windstones.
A good example of a hidden auction would be the windstone male dragon that was listed sometime back as just a “ceramic dragon figurine”, or something along those lines.
Wheeee! I got papa Cheetah. 😀 Could mama possibly have a grey-eye chance though? My chicks didn’t inherit the orange eyes I requested for Osiris.

To further clarify, Windstone Editions official auctions (that Windstone themselves auction off) are never hidden. Hidden auctions are usually done by people that don’t realize what they have… as Pam said, they may list a piece as a ‘ceramic blue dragon’ without realizing it’s called a “Windstone”. If they don’t use the word “Windstone” in the auction… it will not appear when searching eBay for “Windstone” and thus is ‘hidden’… it takes some work finding those ones, when they exist.

This Poad has a clearcoat issue that was mistakenly not mentioned in the auction. The auction description has been revised so that it now mentions the clearcoat problem, but I’m letting you know all know here as well in case you are planning to bid on this piece and haven’t or won’t be reading the description. The added paragraph is as follows:
“I forgot to include that this Poad™ has a problem with her clearcoat! The glossy finish on her back has some hard rough specks in it. These spots are not visible, but they can be felt, especially on and around her dorsal stripe.”Love the baby peg! Unfortunately, just dropped a bunch of money (I didn’t have) on a new laptop. Of course now the pegasus sculpts start coming out again. :spank: LOL!
