No, he’s a sitter (he was up right after your daddy griffin, I think). He was an early b-day gift from my hubby!

My pics don’t do him justice either :shrug: The auction for this one said there is one more sitting chick in AL but it has more violet on it, I haven’t seen it on ebay yet.

Thanks for the info and pictures, Skeeterdeee; Windstone’s pictures really were terrible. I never gave your chick a second look …. just glanced at him, thought he was pretty much all one color, and kept right on going through the Search listing. Your second picture is quite good and shows his colors well. 🙂 The Male is black with some brown; the chicks appear to be brown with little or no black.

He has a tiny bit of black around his eyes and beak like a mask (I didn’t take a picture of that angle, I was focusing on his rump area 😆 ). This little guy was listed in between the copper colored chicks, his purples and greens are so subtle you may have passed him by thinking he was one of the copper ones. His ebay pics made him look kind of dull, but in person he’s bright and shiny and colorful. I’m very happy with him! Keep an eye on ebay, there should be another one (from what I read). 🙂

I have always found the Windstone pictures to be great – I wish I could take pictures half as good.

I agree! Most of the ebay pics are fabulous, but I discovered something- I got 2 pieces from ebay and they have had something neat that cameras just can’t capture. My little chickie has a sparkly butt and I recently got a Poad and was surprised to learn that she glows in the dark! Boy, was I surprised when I saw something glowing green in the corner of my bedroom! 😮

Don’t cry, Pam! I held him directly under my desk lamp and my pictures don’t show the true colors either. AL griffies and cameras just don’t mix, I guess! 😉
