Hope no one here is going to start a bidding war on the Halloween poad… the first poad I’ve ever bid on, or ever wanted for that matter… so I’ll be disappointed if there is a war that rockets the price up even more out of my range.

Hey syn, do you have a curio cabinet? If not a lot of them have mirrors in the back so you can see both sides of your item. That’s what I like most about mine!
The Michael’s store by me sells wooden and glass display boxes with a mirrored back. Tall ones, small ones, long ones, all kinds. I have several of them that I keep my “interesting” Windstones in (plus you can print 40 or 50% off coupons online!). They are great when you want to be able to see all sides at one time!
Yes, I do have a curio, and with a mirrored back too; but it is not very deep. No way would it hold a Cat Wizard! He would have to go in my Windstone room, away from my real cats, and there is NO MORE room. Not even for another Mouse Wizard. 😥
I’m surprised dichroic eyes weren’t a choice for that “Mineral Spring” OW. Are we not going to see those anymore now that there are ‘metallic’ eyes? I liked the dichroic eyes. >.>;…well, on some sculpts, at least…the OW, especially. The emperor, too…just not the lap. e.e

I like them too, particularly on the Spectrals.

I thought about it, but they looked like metallic puke.
Actually, the dichroic eyes are partially see-through, so whatever paint color is underneath will affect the main eye color you see. I didn’t play with it much, but over a very light color (like white) the eyes will look mostly silver and pink. Apparently over green and black, their main color is muddy orange and brown. I will probably give dichroic eyes as a choice for the last one or two Mineral Spring OW’s, once I find a color they will look good over.

I like them too, particularly on the Spectrals.
The spectrals have different eyes than OW’s. We call both “dichroic”, but they are painted differently (maybe because they are shaped differently?). With spectral eyes, there is a very definite pattern to the colors, and the eyes will always look the same as long as they are over any dark color. The color on spectral eyes is also much more vivid, even when just looking at the backs. On the back of a “regular” eye that is painted dichroic, like an OW eye, the colors are very random, very pearly and metallic-looking, and are easily affected by any underlying paint colors.
So the color at the back of the eye is what tints the dichroic eyes? Or do you mean something painted onto the eyes themselves? o.o
The eyes have dichroic color on the backs already, but it is opaque, so the paint inside the eye socket will have an affect on the overall color. Remember the “blind” white spectral dragons? Te back of their eye sockets were white instead of black, so their eyes had a really pale ghostly look to them instead of the normal vivid rainbow colors.
