Wow all these pictures of where people live make me jealous. Fort Stewart is no where near that nice.
This is my itty bitty town of Soda Springs, Idaho, population 3,381.
There are tons of naturally carbonated springs in our area…
Formation Springs
and we even have a geyser… Back in the 1920’s the town decided they wanted to take advantage of the hot springs and build a public pool and soak pools. They hit a steam pocket while digging which resulted in a geyser. The geyser never stopped gushing. About 6 months later the town council recieved a telegram from the Secertary of the Interior asking that our geyser be capped off as its constant flow was effecting Old Faithful geyser in Yellowstone National Park. They were able to cap it and put in a time/pressure release valve so now our geyser erupts every hour on the hour…

A hot spring and a geyser? And a nice little valley? I’m coming to live with you! 😆 Got room for 4 cats, a big dog, me, my hubby and 8 horses? Oh, and about 22 Windstones? 😆 😉
I haven’t posted photos of here because it all looks the same—lots of pine trees and sand. 🙄We’ve got lots of space here as well as lots of horses and horse people. Our neighbors breed Arabians. Come ahead, the more the merrier! 😀

I took these photos last Sunday. This is where we camp, but it looks like this all around us. Hilly (though technically they are tall enough to be mountains, most of us consider them hills. Mountains have snow on top! :lol:)
You can’t tell but this photo is taken on a hillside. There is a deep valley hidden in the trees below.
