I saw a thread before that mentioned EpoxySculpt as a good medium for repairing Windstones, and was wondering where I may acquire that–do I have to buy it online, or is there a store in my area that may have it? Or is there something better I should be using? I would like to try something without trying to make a “dough”, because I am lousy in the kitchen! XD XD XD
August 25, 2009 at 6:40 pm #780658I know there are others, but I have used Apoxie® Sculpt with excellent results. I purchased mine from that site. I don’t know if it’s available locally.
August 25, 2009 at 6:47 pm #780659Do you use the colors, or do you just use the white and paint over it afterwards?
August 25, 2009 at 6:51 pm #780660I have just used the white and painted it. I’ve only used it to repair some Windstones, so I don’t know how well it works on other stuff.
August 25, 2009 at 7:01 pm #780661That’s what I am trying to do–I want to try to repair my Lap Dragon, and then maybe if I get a trade in another thread, there will be some minor repairs involved with that. It’s something I want to try doing…
August 25, 2009 at 7:09 pm #780662Unless you plan on doing lots of repairs I would get the smallest amount of apoxiesculpt available. A little bit goes a long way with it! Also the “natural” color is what I used when I bought some. I later sent what I had left to Kyrin because I remembered she said she preferred the natural and I wasn’t going to be using any more of it.
August 25, 2009 at 7:14 pm #780663I agree–I don’t imagine I will need more than the smallest size they have there…
August 25, 2009 at 8:32 pm #780664My other advice….use clean hands, tools, etc. to get part A and part B out of their containers. If not, you will end up with some of either one hardened in the container. This didn’t happen to me, but I was forewarned about it. 😉 I also chose the smallest size available and it’s lasting me forever. I guess that’s a good thing….it means I’m not breaking Windstones. 😀
August 28, 2009 at 7:21 pm #780665Yep,I used it too.Ordered it over the net from them and had it in three days.Great product and cheap for the little we normally use, luckily.A major disaster though goes to the pros here to repair. 😀
Every act matters. No matter how small💞
