….and gone, looks like the seller accepted a Best Offer on it….congrats to whomever won it!
If the auction for a rare Windstone has the option of placing a bid or making a “Best Offer” you always can make a minimum bid. You can be confident that someone will overbid you and you won’t have to buy the piece.
Placing a bid gets rid of the “Best Offer” option and lets people compete for the item. It also usually makes a lot more money for the seller!
This also works for auctions which have options to place a bid or “Buy It Now”. The Brown OW which was auctioned recently had a Buy It Now option of $750. That went away when I bid the minimum (I think it was $100.00). After an auction the dragon sold for over $1000.
ah, did not know that, I’ve only tried best offer once for an old tortoise that came up, I BO offered her an amount under her BIN to see, she countered still at below the BIN and I accepted at which I was very happy with since I kept worrying someone was going to hit the buy it now before we could finish and or I didn’t have to pay the full BIN!
