My user name came from several places. Many years ago I was interested in (and had time to do) archery. I also like reading about different goddesses from ancient civilizations. The Greek goddess of the moon, Artemis (later known as Diana to the Romans) was said to be the protector of women and animals and carried silver arrows. I admire strong women role models so I use this archetype for my avatar and user name. Book geek that I am! 😀

Here is what I said in the original thread:

My name from a couple of things actually. I came up with dragoness because I liked dragons. The other reason I picked it because my friend and I were going to form a female band and I wanted to call it Dragoness. I was going to play bass guitar and do vocals. She was going to play the guitar and then we just needed a back up singer and drummer. She got married and that was the end of it. Although, I still have the lyrics that we put together.

The second part is because Jade is my nick name. My friends and I were wild teenagers draging state street and we decided that if we were going to meet guys then we would tell them what our nickname was (that is if we didn’t like them).

Mine is a combination of mine and my husband’s names. His name is Travis, and the last few letters of my name is ‘tie’. So it sounds like travesty, but is spelled travistie. There ya go.. nothing real interesting or complex!

My name is *not* from Eragon. I know a lot of people think that it is, but I’ve never read a single one of the books, and I’ve been using “Arya” since I was about 6 years old…so since about 1992 😛

Arya is a character in an extremely old story I came up with as a little kid, and it sort of evolved way out of control as I grew up. I’m either Arya or Arya_of_Evern (or some combination thereof) on most sites where I hang out, mostly because I like both the name and the character herself 😀

Jasmine is the name I used when I started role playing Vampire the Masquerade. Now I just use it everywhere.

My name came from the first ID the company I worked for for many years assigned. They assigned the dar and then added everybodys initials to it – mine jeb. I use it for just about everything but now I wich I had used something else like the one I used for Photobucker which is dragon1040 for the Forum as well.

BRoS are my annitials B. Rós S. and it is the Icelandic word for smile, and when I went to bowling camp in Sweden ( I know I know, silly me, going to bowling camp when I sucked at it, bowling I mean) they called me Smiley cause they couldn’t pronounce my name and I loved it, so I decided to use the Icelandic version

Ive had this nickname for at least 8 years now. The nickname came about several years back. I used to go by the nickname Heartseeker, I used it for online gaming and then after one game had a spell name Heartseeker it became very popular. I had to come up with a new nickname, so I combine mine and my brothers which was Ravn and got Ravnheart Smile It also fits me as I have a great love for Ravens and I am part Cherokee.

Well my nick comes from George RR Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire Series. Khal Drogo is your basic warrior king, kinda like Genghis Khan.

My wife thinks that I remind her of Drogo. She’s a big fan of GRRM also (her nick is Daenerys, if she ever logs on).

Besides from being a GRRM fan we kinda resemble Drogo and Daenerys also as a couple. I’m asian and she’s a blond. We both are also really into martial arts, so I think we have their ‘warrior’ mentality also. That and we’re totally crazy about each other and dragons. We need to save up for 3 fledgling dragons for her, like Daeny’s (Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal)I just hope I don’t share Drogo’s fate anytime soon 😀

I WAS WONDERING IF THAT WAS IT. Ha! Awesome! That’s one of my favorite couples of all time. Reading about Daenerys was always my favorite part of those books, and what happened to Khal Drogo killed me… aaah, emotional. Hope that doesn’t happen to you, too.

My name is pretty much my name. Chesapeake. Added on the extra “s” and “a” just for dramatic effect. It’s stuck to me in ways other screennames haven’t… and it’s hardly ever taken.

Ruffian is the name of my female Shiba Inu, I saw a JRT named this on a dogshow while I was awaiting her arrival from her breeder.
