So, since Nam didn’t ask specifically about Dragons, I picked the two contrasting colors because of the Tan Griffin. Whew! Does that make since?
Hehe, the poll question asks “On a Windstone dragon, I prefer this kind of coloration…”
Your input is still great though! 🙂
For everyone else that asked, I’d consider Autumn Leaf a 3-4 color job, even though in reality it’s more complex than that.

If you’re referring to the nice brown on the shoulders on the gold spectral, I can attest that the production spectrals have the same markings and coloration (just without the invisible magic paint). I have one sitting here looking at me. 😉

My art: featherdust.comAugust 6, 2007 at 9:00 pm #606299Thanks, Pegasi. I thought it might be those. I’ve alos seen some photos of browns that looked more one color done in different shades. I liked those, but I think they may have been ‘specials’.
And most of my color reference has been from photographs, so it’s possible that I’m not seeing color variations.
And despite my comments about the single colors, I’m debating between the gold and the white in the old warrior as an addition to my collection. For an ‘old’ dragon, white or gold seems to be the fitting color for an elder of high ranking. 🙂

But, I think both of the color schemes Olivia has done for the SKs (red gold & spring green) fall under the brown category! 😉
I think you mean Olympia??
I said 3-4 colors since that seems to work the bestAugust 6, 2007 at 11:35 pm #606301I voted the middle option (BEP, black gold). I like bright colors, but I think the dragons look most elegant in the sharp contrast.
August 6, 2007 at 11:46 pm #606302I’m with pegasi and boskydragon. I like the nice blending of 2 colors, as in the old brown and green colors. I’m not a big fan of the green color, but I do love the brown. Actually brown and white are my two favorite dragon colors so far.
But IMO… it also depends on the dragon. Some colors just seem to look better on certain dragons than others.
August 6, 2007 at 11:47 pm #606303Travistie’s right. EmPea looks awesome on the lap, but the scratcher looks much better in ruby. It does depend on the sculpt, too.

I definately agree…I love some of them in certain colors but not others. For example, I love my rainbow fledgie but I really didn’t care for that color on anything else. I adore the brown color on just about every dragon except the scratcher…

That is very true. Like other members have said, it also depends on the colors being used, blue, green, reds, etc. I’m really sold on the Em P. color since it has the best of both the peacock and emerald colors in one. Others might prefer the more “pure” colors. I think too, regardless of how many colors are being used, the blending of any colors makes such a difference. That’s why I choose 3-4 colors blended.
August 7, 2007 at 12:29 am #606306I have to say that I like the 3-4 colors blended because Peacock is my all time favorite. I also really like the Violet Flame.
However, now that Peacock is retired, I my favorite dragon color has to be the Black Gold. I love the contrast between the black and the accent colors.
August 7, 2007 at 12:45 am #606307I like all the colors but I voted for 3-4. I think they are my favorites.

Same here! I have more brown than anything else, but though the scratcher is my favorite pose, I won’t be buying him in brown 😕August 7, 2007 at 2:42 am #606309Quote:Dragon Master Posted: Mon Aug 06, 2007 5:00 pm Post subject:

I think you mean Olympia??😳 yep 😳
August 7, 2007 at 2:51 am #606310I voted 3-4. I consistently like those best. 😉
August 7, 2007 at 3:39 am #606311I picked 3-4 main smoothly blended but had I had another choice, Id have also chosen the 2-3 sharply contrasted color option too.
August 7, 2007 at 2:33 pm #606312I voted for the 2 colors, sharply contrasted. I love many color variations that have come out, but not often on every sculpt (so far, from what I’ve seen). I know I would love all the Blacks on everything. Though I’d like to see something other than black someday too… still curious about that white OW that Melody mentioned she might do a test of… the EP or VP one (can’t remember).
