I was thinking about the retired different old animal sculpts and it hit me that a Kiwi bird would be an adorable one or a hedgehog! I would like to see a return of the armadillo and boar sculpts too! They where before my Windstone collecting time and seem next to impossible to find for sale even thru resources like Ebay and I think a lot of collectors would like one of their own yet. I was so tickled with my Kiwi idea I just wanted to share it for fun.
I think more test paint male lions would be really cool! I’ve seen a few and would very much like a regular or test paint lion sculpt someday if ever. I thought maybe four could be done that are done in colors corresponding to the four seasons after viewing a lucky owner’s “blue ice” lion test paint that’s up for sale in the classified ads now pending payment.
Hope no one minds my thoughts/suggestions?! I get lonely and like to talk. Later!P.S. Is the new cougar sculpt going to be available as a production piece ever or maybe even have cool grab bags?!
Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.

Hi ~
Oh really?! That will be sweet! I hope they won’t sell out before I could try for one! Thanks for sharing.

Me Three! I’m doubly interested in the Boar since that’s my Chinese New Year sign! I have the Gargoyle Pig, but a red eyed determined looking Boar IS what I envision as my Chinese New Year alter-ego to be. 🙂

We found a few boxes of these unpainted animals when we moved from California to Oregon. We are not planning to cast more of these original animals as far as I know.
The exceptions were the two bear cubs and the lion. We did cast more of those pieces.
The cougar will be available ( production or limited production) soon as I get a chance to paint them!
I wish I could do things like Kiwis, but the material we use is too fragile to have long beaks and legs, so I am forced stick to blobby shaped things.April 4, 2015 at 9:17 pm #927523The boars I did recently were the remainder of some old left-over castings from the olden days of Windstone. You’re probably like “enough already” with the “will this be stocked or offered ever” or “hey, what about this idea”.. posts from me, not to mention the zounds you must get day to day in general from your adoring fans!
Oh that’s too bad about the boar, but at least it makes the hunt for one all that sweeter if one is found for sale yet.
I didn’t consider the Kiwi beak in a casting process, you’re right, while it would be cute it would be really breakable and difficult to produce – wells back to the creative drawing board! Haha.Squee! I can’t wait to see future cougar sculpts come out when you’re able! I hope they will stay in stock so I can get one or two!!! (As you may have noticed I have a thing for big cats, particularly black panthers are near and dear to my heart.)
Thanks again for taking the time to reply to my post and shed insight into what’s what. See you later!

April 7, 2015 at 6:32 am #927611Shame about the boar; they’re one of my favourite animals 🙁 It would have been cool to collect them, as well as have them given a medieval test paint palette/grab bag.

Yeah, I think so too. I like boars. A test paint of boars would be fabulouso!
Alas, all good things must come to an end. I wish I could at least find one used somewhere.Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.
April 19, 2015 at 3:42 am #928153Medieval tapestry colours, replicating illumination manuscript flowers & filigree, would have been wicked to see!
When did the boars first come out? 🙁
