For you dog lovers out there. I heard on the radio that Uno the Beagle already won…but I just love watching all these gorgeous dogs.
I also always tear up over the Pedigree commercials….the poor dogs that get passed up for adoption! Hate the dog food, because I feed Royal Canin and Nutro Ultra…but the commercials are heart wrenching…..
February 12, 2008 at 1:45 am #494311February 12, 2008 at 1:52 am #665080I buy it and donate it to the SPCA, LOL.
The ones that say “I’m Arnold and i’m a good dog” god I love David Duchovny.
FYI they are making a new X-Files movie WOOT.

He was GREAT in Connie and Carla!!if you have never seen it I recommend it HIGHLY!! It was hillarious!!February 12, 2008 at 2:12 am #665082I like connie and Carla, but I LOVE “too Wong Foo, thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar” it is one of my top 10 favorite movies.
February 12, 2008 at 2:21 am #665083Too Wong Foo was OK but more Hollywood then real life for the way most drag queens work together. Chi Chi was the most believeable character in the film and the least known actor
My friend said the film ruined the carreers of Patrick Swayze and Wesley SnipesFebruary 12, 2008 at 2:24 am #665084I dunno, Patrick has never had much of a career to ruin, really, and Snipes made all the blade movies after, not to bad.
February 12, 2008 at 2:26 am #665085Did Uno win the Hound group? Mom fell asleep *grrrr* I know he won best of breed, but Best in Show isn’t until tomorrow night.
Tonight is Hound, terrier, Non-Sporting and Herding with Working, Toy, Sporting, and Best in Show tomorrow. Best in show is presented between 10:30-11pm tomorrow night. The order is a bit different this year. First night used to be Working, Terrier, Toy, Non-Sporting with Sporting, Hound, and Herding used to be on the last night, herding group being the last group before Best in Show (at least for the last 10 years). Maybe they had to switch some around with all the new additions in the last few years (four newly excepted breeds this year – Plott Hound, Beauceron, Swedish Vallhund, and Tibetan Mastiff)?
I’ll have to watch all this tomorrow on Animal Planet in the morning (or whatever station will be replaying this… USA doesn’t seem to be doing this anymore like they used to?). I love watching the dog shows! I have my favorites and you know when a dog is spot on (the German wire-haired pointer from a few years ago just knew was perfect when he was shown at best in show!) π
Is it sad that I actually remember the names of Best in Show/group winners from the last 10 years or show of watching? π

Chi Chi Rodriguez was the best. πFebruary 12, 2008 at 3:08 am #665087siberakh1 wrote:Did Uno win the Hound group? Mom fell asleep *grrrr* I know he won best of breed, but Best in Show isn’t until tomorrow night.

I’m a dork. I should have checked the Westminster site instead of USA or the AKC site. They have the entire bench schedule up for the show (PDF). Best in Show isn’t decided until tomorrow night. It’s a live telecast: http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/2008/show/tv.html
Stupid that wrestling got trumped this year and the show is was pushed to CNBC for 9-11pm. USA broadcast for the entire duration tomorrow night though (8-11pm) as they have in the past.Group results are posting here:
http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/2008/results/group/Uno did take the Hound group and the Sealyham Terrier that was expected to do well took the Terrier group. Non-Sporting hasn’t been posted yet (as of my typing this) and Herding isn’t done yet.
The winner is always on the Today show the day after, so this Wednesday morning, then he’ll go to to do like 11 other appearences and get a free steak dinner at Sardi’s (the NYC restaurant known for it’s caricatures of actors on the walls)! It’s a long day for the winner!
February 12, 2008 at 8:19 am #665089NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The Dally was supposed to win Non-sporting!!! π
(Can you guess “My” breed? π )

February 12, 2008 at 1:51 pm #665091YEah, I saw the akita win something…but I’ve slept since then, lol….I thought the akita took best in show…but I’m probably wrong. That was a beautiful dog. π
