So we all know the Grab Bags and test paints whose first homes are their forever homes. They are perfect little fairy tales! But I thought it would be fun to have a thread dedicated to the more adventurous, well-traveled Windstones! Weather it’s finally found its foever home with you after trading many hands, or it’s just passing through as trade bait, show us your pieces where you’re a second, third or even later owner! And if you see a piece you’ve owned here, feel free to speak up and tell us why they left you! Or not, if you’re not the chatty type. Just enjoy the pretty pictures. I hope lots of people ‘play along’ and will show off some lovely pieces.
I’ll kick us off. I just purchased this lovely uni from eBay, so I know I’m at least her second owner, but I seem to remember seeing her in the classifieds at one point. So, was she ever yours? Do you miss her? Did she land you a favorite trade or help repair your car with a sale? What’s your part of her story? As for me, I love how she looks, but I’m not sure if I’m her forever home. She’s definitely welcome to stay though, until the next trade, lol.

I am actually the original owner of that baby unicorn 😁. I traded it years ago to… gracious I can’t remember. I traded her for something less green from the same batch and without a dragon.
Agreed! This is a great idea!! We’re about to find out how small the world really is!

I am at least the third owner of the “Sweet n Sour” Mother Ki-rin figure. At work so no photos but her pic comes up easy enough on Google. Her colors are a good fit for my little Ki-rin family, just with I had the space to properly display her right now.
I know that this green girl went traveling. She’s from an early GB Poad batch (December 2012). I traded for her right after the grab bag came out and loved her for a few years. Then I got more leaf young Poads and she didn’t fit with them so she went on her way. She’s very pretty, but very bright green!
I believe that she had at least two more owners after me. Maybe she finally found a forever home.
“Baroque Black” is another traveling Poad. She has had at least three owners including me as the second(?) one.
Not quite what Natasha had in mind, but this is another kind of traveling Windstone – the boomerang. “King Parrot” started with me, was traded to someone else, and then came back home where I expect him to stay.
Hahaha! Thanks, Etruscan! I love seeing all these lovelies! I believe the GREEN poad is with me…but there is a box of about 6 Windstones that is hiding from me at the moment. She’s in good company with at least two uni babies and a fox I know I am missing. I am still dismantling boxes!
Baroque was with me, too! I thought she was in her forever home with me, but I kept in touch with someone who loved her to bits, and eventually traded her for a Koi wolf…which I then traded for my grail piece, the Starlight Rain mother uni. So, all the unis are with me know, definitely til I croak. I miss Baroque, but am very grateful for her help getting Starlight Rain!

I was the first owner of the Black Violet Lion. He was my very first Ebay test paint, but certainly not the last! I thought the purple glitter in his mane was very unique. I think I sold/traded him because his pure fantasy coloration didn’t quite fit my collection. I’ve traded/sold several pieces for that same reason, yet that doesn’t stop me from buying fantasy pieces. I guess I never learn when it comes to Windstones, lol.
