Is anyone good at mixing paint?

I would like about 4 oz of a nice buckskin/palomino base.
I have not been able to come even close!
So if you mix paint, or have some that comes ready made and is a good color, let me know!
It doesn’t matter if its airbrush paint or regular.

This is about the color I’m going for. My pony Silo… The color on her face or better of her chest. That golden brownish color…

Yes, she is! I can’t wait to see what next year’s baby (might) look like.
Still haven’t decided if I’ll breed her this year. Need to wait and see what Frodo’s 1st foal looks like.

I want to do a Kirin of her to match my Frodo kirin.

I could match the color, but I do it via glazing (layers) to create depth, which isn’t much help to you. 🙁

I’d normally do layers of paint to get the exact color (since it’s fur), but I can see with it being a kirin why you’d just want the one color. I could play around this weekend if you’d like (I’ll be mixing similar colors anyways – working on cheetah griffins). Do you have any better pics of her? Do you want more of the lighter color (what’s on the face/cheeks), the darker color (on her back), or something a bit more in between (like around her neck)?

Cheetah color would be pretty close! Let me find some more pictures. She’s shedding right now so she’s almost black. She’s weird. She sheds her gold hair first and then the black.

That should work. It’s a little different than the color I use for the cheetah griffin. I’ll see what I can get mixed up this weekend. Now I need to look for an air-tight container to put it in.

It took me forever to get a buckskin color x__x I don’t even remember how I did it… so I probably would be of no help. Hopefully Siberakh can get it!

I know. For some reason, it’s sooo hard to get that buttery golden buckskin color!
