Ahh, it’s taken a while (every time I thought I was almost done, I found something else to go and change or subtly alter) but it’s finally finished!

I drew a griffon a long time ago in this colour setup, so when I saw the PYO sculpt I knew instantly what I wanted to do. 🙂

Be warned… I got a little over-excited so there are a whole bunch of photos.

At one point Charlie showed up, presumably annoyed that I was attempting to do something that didn’t involve him. :p

Wow, that is stunning! I love the colors. And the antiquing. And the cleanness of the stripes. So much work must have gone into it!

Thanks so much! The encouragement means a lot to me. I enjoyed it a lot, though it was frustrating at times. :p

I want to start on another one right away! I’m kind of broke, but my hobbies always tend to fund themselves in some respect, so maybe I can sell something to make the extra. The nice thing about PYOs is their low price!

The shade of green was actually kind of a happy accident. I had originally meant to do a more primary green to match with the other colours, but during mixing I found this shade and just went with it 🙂

Thanks for saying so.. the face took forever, haha 🙂 I may have picked an overly complicated first colour scheme.

Ahh thank you, it was my first time antiquing anything, so learning by doing was slightly terrifying! I still don’t have the hang of it. But at least I didn’t ruin anything yet 😉

Thanks! I figure if I sell this one, I can afford to buy another one to paint 🙂 Buying all the stuff to START painting ended up being more expensive than I’d anticipated, but at least now I have a basic setup.
