I’m trying to remember the sequence of events that lead up to Hotdog becoming a Windstone celebrity. I will put down what I remember. Please feel free to correct me when (not if) I’m wrong. I have a great memory, it just doesn’t last long.
During the livestream we got to stalk the Windstone staff and peep in on the goings on. Chessy was busy gluing eyes and jewels into the remaining GB babies. At one point Pam (I believe) brought over a unicorn and showed her his bad eye. As she was checking him out (The GB baby) Melody came by and asked why Chessy smelled like hotdogs. Chessy denied the accusation. Of course us watchers had a field day with the comment.
As we began poking fun at Chessy (it was all good natured, thankfully no one could actually smell her over the internet) she made the comment that maybe it was the new sealer they were using that might smell “hotdogish”. She gave the uni with the questionable eye a sniff and, I believe, may have passed him to Pam or her mom for a sniff as well.
At this point Chessey made the comment that maybe they should rub hotdogs on all the babies. On-line it was decided that that was not a good idea because the dragons might be tempted to eat the babies.
All of this was happening while the fate of the uni with the unfortunate eye was being decided.
Thus Hotdog was christened.
Well, a lot more stuff happened, but if you weren’t there during the live chat you missed a lot ^_^

I missed how hotdog came about.. But I lurked the oiling lizards part, I was laughing pretty good at that, that’s when I decided to make a LJ user account n join in on chat lol
I’ve spent a week with this running around in my head, so finally decided to pass it on …
THE SAGA OF HOTDOG, SECOND ITERATION
The live stream was running, with unicorns galore
Needing to be finished to go in the store.
An aroma of hotdogs was scenting the air,
Coming from someplace, but no one knew where!Could it be the unicorns, waiting impatiently,
For the finishing touches added by Chessie?
Then this baby unicorn was next in line.
Chessie picked him up – she thought he was fine.His casting was perfect, his paint coat was bright.
Only one problem … an eye was stuck tight.
It wouldn’t come out for applying of glue.
Chessie said, “Oh no, we can’t sell him too.”“For this little hotdog it must be rejection.
He can’t cut the mustard. He won’t pass inspection.
How do we keep him apart from the rest?
We’ll send him to camp. That would be best.”Drag0nfeathers cried “No! Don’t send Hotdog to camp!
He’ll be frightened out there! It’s cold and it’s damp!
But I need more people to support my position.
I have an idea! I’ll start a petition!”So Dragon began a “Save Hotdog” thread.
Many people joined in, and all of them said:
“Save Hotdog!” “Save Hotdog!” “Don’t send him away!”
“Save Hotdog!” “Save Hotdog!” “Please hear what we say!”“Hotdog should be with someone who cares,
Not out in the wild with the wolves and the bears!”
“He’s afraid of the dark!” “He hates being alone!”
“Please let someone buy him and give him a home!”Melody said, “You people are strange!
We don’t want to sell him, but I will arrange
The raffle this month – the prize is Hotdog!
All of the info is found on my blog.”She said, “You’ll have a home little Hotdog, don’t fear.”
Pam painted a hotdog and bun on his rear.
They glued in his eye (you can still see the glue)
And said, “OK – let’s see what these lunatics do!”A photo of Hotdog was put on the blog.
Raffle entries were sent. People waited, agog,
“Whose name will they draw?” “I have fingers crossed tight.”
“Oh, Melody says she’s not picking tonight.”Then “We have a wiener!” The name Melody drew

I think reading something on this forum while on a conference call is overall a dangerous idea for such events XD*Love* that poem!! 😀 Hotdog sure is a hero ’round here! Overcoming all odds against him! 😀
