Are you saying that when I seek out the deep feminine in it’s truest nature..I should go to HOOTERS? Perhaps your feminine scupltures could go in that direction!
Or perhaps a deeper and broader appreciation of the masculine could be discussed. The deep masculine of Martin Luther King or Ghandi. A father taking responsibility or a man striving for excellence. Surely, it can’t all just be about physique?
I just heard on the radio last week of a study that showed that it actually is all about physique. DUH!
(Maya’s gonna clobber me for this)
I like to listen to the comedy chanel on XM radio too. (The adult one)

……………..in its simplest expression, yes it would be the form all of us females share on this planet. In our society we do tend to call “true” what we can see or touch. If you approach the feminine from a more formless side, like feelings or thoughts, the “truth” becomes very elusive and subjective. It all depends what you are looking for. I have been at Hooters once. The women where very nice.
Looking into their eyes, we had an immediat kinship going………………….………………..I can tell you that a very big part of my psychotherapy sessions are about developing the male aspects of my soul. Inner strength, healthy boundaries, responsibility, and the outward projections of power.
The conscious, evolved masculine is great. Which aspect would like to discuss and appreciate? I do appreciate you writing here.
Does anyone know if the size of the sumo wrestlers is symbolic for “developed”? I do know they have a vigorous life style…………………September 14, 2007 at 1:17 am #615421Maya Hill wrote:Richard Winters wrote:Are you saying that when I seek out the deep feminine in it’s truest nature…

September 17, 2007 at 9:12 pm #615423The Warrior!
The King!
The Lover!
The Magician! These four archtypes are critical in the healthy masculine. Neglect of any and the man is lop-sided.
There is also the Wild Man. But I don’t think you have the courage to be working with him!
September 17, 2007 at 9:35 pm #615424Not many people do. 😀
September 18, 2007 at 5:06 am #615425I rather be in the desire to play with my wild women.
October 1, 2007 at 5:44 pm #615426I was under the impression that this was Forum for serious discussion. How does “I rather play with my wild woman” discuss the role of the masculine?
Instead it does what seems epidemic in women these days….competition! What a waste! The Wild Man is critical for the health of society. Without it…men live in heads or in twisted versions of Wildness like Las Vegas. My question is “What would a skilled artist like Ms. Hill do with this archtypes? The Wild Man!
What would the Wild Man and The Wild Woman look like? Can they exist together?
The same is true of The King. The Warrior. The Magician. The Lover.
These are critical ideals that must find their place in our modern society!
The world doesn’t need the masculination of the feminine. What a waste. The world needs the celebration of th e healthy feminine…and the healthy Masculine.
Why are women so scared of healthy men? Why are men so reluntant to embrace their deepest nature? And can an artist with Maya’s obvious gifts help in healing this rift?
Is this serious Forum for ideas…or not?

There is nothing wrong with healthy men and women are not neccesarily afraid of them. Perhaps they are just tired of being looked at as inferior and act out in impetuous ways? There is no telling, so why dont we refrain from generalizing… As for the serious discussions, I am sure others can answer you better than I. Some of your questions seem more patronizing/argumentative than serious to me, though, that could be just me…
October 1, 2007 at 6:58 pm #615428Let me say that variety is the spice of life, and a little humor never hurt even the most serious of discussions. 🙂
Most women are terrified of healthy men? Are you sure? I’ve not experienced this. I realistically realize that personally, a healthy man could overpower me physically, but I am not at all terrified of him. I know that few would deign to do so- and should they, I have tricks other than physical preponderance to evade them if necessary.
Perhaps by saying that she’d rather play with her Wild Woman, Maya was implying that she prefers the feminine medium to work with. 🙂

My art: featherdust.comOctober 1, 2007 at 7:51 pm #615429Can you define “healthy men”? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally? Spiritually? All of the above? How are “we” terrified of them? I’m not trying to be argumentative…I just don’t know what you mean by your statements…
October 2, 2007 at 6:52 am #615430I’m not going to touch the rest of this artsy philosophizing, but I have to say, I wholeheartedly agree with this:

I agree, too.

I deeply question what “healthy” masculine and “healthy” feminine are. Either sex can do anything the other can… save in the actual act of gestating and birthing or producing semen to fertilize. Is a ‘healthy’ woman one who sews, cooks, raises children, and keeps a home… or is it a triathalon athlete who also is an engineer, will never care to have a child, and burns toast? Is a ‘healthy’ man a flamboyant gay man who designs incredible clothing, cooks up a storm and is raising three adopted children, or would a healthy man instead be a contruction engineer who hangs out after work at a favored bar with his friends watching sports?
I have found when people claim they understand all of one sex or another and seek to have others agree with them that they really don’t ‘get’ that we are all the same, save for certain aspects of biology. Wanting a single type of individual limits us all. 🙂 Some men look good in and wear pink shirts… some women look good in and wear workboots… that man can be deeply masculine and that woman can be feminine, both can be straight or gay, and both ARE their own archetypes.
