Le sigh. Missed ’em.
December 4, 2012 at 2:28 am #889378That was hell. I got one in my cart twice, got to the review order step, then the page refuses to load. The cart timer kept going, but nothing would show up in my cart when the page would finally reload. It was awful thinking I had one, TWICE, only to be disappointed. So yeah, we broke the store.
December 4, 2012 at 2:44 am #889385See the problem is it bounced out of my cart while trying to check out, but my time had not expired. I still had at least half the time on the cart timer left. If the store was working properly, this should NOT have happened. Period. I did not hit a back button. That is what frustrates me so much about my attempt/transaction.

Same here, Siber. I got to watch my cart timer tick minutes away while there was nothing left in my cart. That’s a special sort of torture 🙂
December 4, 2012 at 2:50 am #889388Same with me too, I had plenty of time on the timer when the page loaded to tell me my cart was empty. I’m not surprised though, with all of the site traffic – and this happens everywhere on the web when there’s an item in demand! Has anyone else ever made the mad dash for a Bag of Crap on Woot? Or tried to snag some Black Friday online deal only to have the website go belly-up? Bottom line is that it happens, and although I’m sure the Windstone folks aren’t happy about it (and a lot of potential customers aren’t happy about it!) even huge retail websites have the same problems.
Forever seeking: Blackwatch the raffle Old Warrior, Jennifer Miller's pieces, and GB Baby unis!

Oh man, I HAVE had that happen with Woot bags of crap. Every. Dang. Time. *sigh*

What’s a Bag of Crap? Sounds like something I would buy, LOL. 😀

Woot.com sells one item per day at a steep discount. Periodically they do “bags of crap” where you get three random items for $5.
Could be 3 ball point pens, or a TV and some chewing gum. You have NO idea. It’s just whatever random “crap” they still have around!

That sounds fun! I’ve spent more than that on a lottery ticket, and didn’t even get ONE ballpoint pen out of it. XD

haha, it DOES sound fun! I’ve never managed to get one though, so I’m not sure. 🙂 The site always times out or crashes before I can get one. The ONE time I thought I had one, it hopped out of my cart like a mis-behaving unicorn!

Same with me….timer counting down….nothing in cart…sigh.
December 4, 2012 at 3:51 am #889408I was really disappointed to miss them tonight, too 🙁 Been looking forward to this batch. Grats to the people who managed to snag one.
December 4, 2012 at 7:32 am #889419I missed them too. A bit disapointing after practically being glued to the Computer for a good 4 hours. I hoped for some that my have hopped out of carts again and I even saw 1 but as soon as I clicked the button it was gone again 🙁
Ah well, no nutter butters for me but at least I was waaaaay to tired to do any damage to my PC 😉December 5, 2012 at 6:18 pm #889494I can always count on grab bags to crash the windstone server.
