Yep, personally, that list covers all my favorites; except Okapi for the unicorns, but I know its not a popular scheme, and I know its too complicated for LP or Production. Same with Koi for the Kirins. I love it, but I think its too complicated for anything but ebay
September 28, 2011 at 11:18 pm #858415It would be easier to be able to see the options. It would also be easier to know what’s “simple” and what’s not. That being said, I definitely agree with serpentine and blue ice for dragons. I’m probably the only person on the forums that has a strong aversion to barn swallow, even though I love rainbow (a lot of people compare it to that) and barn swallows.
A simple color scheme is anything that is not covered in stripes, or which does not involve a dozen different colors or a gazillion hand-painted details (no appaloosas, tigers, quaggas, ocellated turkeys, etc). Something like chestnut kirins would probably be possible, but it would have to omit most of the hand-painted koi markings on the scales.
The options are, anything ever put on ebay, except Limited Edition colors and Artist Editions. So, mostly I am just seeing if there are any other old test paints that people can remember, that were extremely popular. Stuff like toasted pearl or sand has already been made LP, but only on curlies so far…So would that mean no griffies especially the babies? I know that the bengal paints took alot of time, but somewhere in this maze of threads, someone at the factory mentioned a stencil for the markings…

September 28, 2011 at 11:39 pm #858419I’m a hard core uni fan. I would so love dapple gray uni’s with blue eyes. Also, pure black uni’s would totally make me happy. Pure black with maybe some copper and or blue interference but not to the point that it would be….too unrealistic. Just enough to give it some twinkle.
If dapple is too complex maybe steel gray like a deep bluish gray. Definitly solid black uni’s though, especially for the grand! Would adding the copper and/or blue interference (like highlights) be too complex?
September 28, 2011 at 11:40 pm #858414chestnut for kirins please!

I think dapple grey is too complicated even for an artist’s edition! Stupid dapples… look so awesome…SOOO annoying to paint. xD
September 29, 2011 at 2:06 am #858443How about siamese coloring? Like the coloring on the one siamese curled dragon, and I think an oriental had one too.

September 29, 2011 at 2:15 am #858446looks lik all my favs are covered. I’d love some numbat unicorns though, are they too complicated for production? I also liked green flame I believe it was called?
September 29, 2011 at 2:29 am #858450What about grey tabby LP flapcats? If there are already orange tabbies, cant there be grey ones?
September 29, 2011 at 3:01 am #858456Dragons: blue ice, black emerald, barn swallow, violet flame, violet flame, violet flame, violet flame, violet flame flame/blue violet flame/copper mauve?, blue flame?, violet flame (LOL)
Oriental Dragons: white, turquoise ; sugar plum?
Kirins: black fire, black violet, snow ;Pegasi & Unicorns: palomino, black grand uni
Gothic Unicorns: Pearl
Flapcats: BEAUTY! She has been my favorite flap cat of all time, ever. Her wing pattern could be reduced down to a turquoise/purple gradient, and Id still be happier than a duck in a mud puddle. Black and white cat with teal eyes and the same color gems she had (amethyst and turquoise) would be easy! 😀

Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
Sanguine Oriental Test Paints, kinglet
Sun Dragon Koi #3September 29, 2011 at 3:44 am #858466For dragons I would add green and lavender with lavender eyes. Melody did a fledling in this color and he is one of my all time favorites. I hope it isn’t considered too complicated. I honestly think that any LPs done in this color would cause a feeding frenzy.
I also vote for any true blue color.September 29, 2011 at 5:05 am #858468I loved the black violet and the purple turquoise. I would love to see various Black _______ colors for the dragons.
September 29, 2011 at 3:28 pm #858486For the Dragons, Black Violet Peacock. My poor Lap and OW are getting lonely.
