I was wondering what the eggs are made out of? I just got mine in and the egg has a film on it that I need to clean off.

The eggs are made out of the same gypsum as the dragons, and they are painted with acrylic paint. The paint shouldn’t come off, but who knows what has happened to yours. If the film is just tobacco smoke or grease, it should be safe to wash it gently. The only thing that will hurt the paint is acetone or other solvents. Don’t use vinegar or any acid as a degreaser. Those can damage the gypsum underneath the paint.
Wait a minute , I just read the subject line of your question again… Our dragons don’t have golden eggs.. are you sure your dragon is a Windstone?December 4, 2006 at 7:17 pm #514074Is it possible ruffian means the coiled mother dragon with the gold egg?

My art: featherdust.comDecember 4, 2006 at 7:18 pm #514075she is refering to the retired coiled dragon that does indeed curl around a golden egg. I was hoping that you might bring her back in some of the new colors.
December 4, 2006 at 7:20 pm #514076Has Windstone ever actually discontinued a dragon statue like they do the colors? Seems like a lot of work to sculpt them only to say “We’re never gonna use THAT one again.”
December 4, 2006 at 7:22 pm #514077Lol, I didn’t realize the direction this post was going. I just did a “Ask Melody” on whether the Coiled Mother was going to be released in a new color 😳

OH! That dragon. Right.
The little coiled dragon’s egg is made out of pewter with a real gold plating on it. It can withstand a good scubbing, just be careful not to get anything too abrasive on the momma.December 4, 2006 at 8:15 pm #514080CherylKaufman wrote:Has Windstone ever actually discontinued a dragon statue like they do the colors? No, we may re-issue any dragon. We just don’t repeat color schemes after they are retired.
