Drag0n, after trying a couple other sites, I found that MediaFire was SUPER easy to use and navigate. 🙂
UGH! If I can even GET that far! I’m in the last 20 seconds of the video and the program just crashes OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!! >_< This went from being fun to I want to punch someone. I don't know why this is so hard for my computer to run this program! I've been trying to edit the last minute of the video for like 4 hours now

Hopefully I can get this uploaded sometime tomorrow after I get out of work *nods* I’m rendering the final draft now and crossing my fingers I make it though the whole render. It says it’s estimated to take about 46 minutes just to render the video 0.o

Does anyone know enough about this stuff to know how I can make it smaller? I made a wmv, are different file types going to maybe be a bit smaller? I really can't edit this thing down any more. I've already spent like two whole days on it… like from "get out of bed… edit video… to go to bed" days
EDIT… and I guess I can't do a .mov
just avi and mpeg other then wmv

Unfortunately I’d only be able to start on them a week too late to enter the contest! No worries though, I’m very much looking forward to seeing all of the entries, and await the next quest! Don’t feel bad Drag0n. When I redid my video, I took like 18 different takes. I went back and forth trying to decide which one I wanted. The one I fianlly chose was 4:59 minutes in length. I was like… “Oh, heck yeah! I just barely made it under the time limit!!”… and then I saw the file size – 103 MB. Really? REALLY!? I normally don’t curse, but I sure did when the realization sunk in. 3 measly flippin MB! :stare: LOL!
The only thing I could do was edit out stuff – some still shots of something I keep on my table. The program I used lets you alter the display size, such as HD 720×480 versus a smaller size. I cut mine because I wanted to keep it at 640×480. Maybe that might help, but I’m not sure.

Thanks for the tips bayou… I may have to do something like that. I have been messing with the sound and frame rate and stuff, but it’s not working out really. I don’t want to edit any more stuff out of the video really… I already sound like what you described so perfectly as a micromachines announcer!

there is a site called online-convert that will switch the file between types for you, not sure if that would get it smaller. I thought the 100mb thing was because of yousendit, does it even matter now?

Na, Sony Vegas, but it’s an old version of it. I think I got the settings down I need now. Now I have to edit it ONE MORE time >_<

However, since some people have already edited their videos to comply with the limit, it wouldn’t be fair to change it. 🙁

I could either render is at 111MB or 18MB x.x So yea… I couldn’t get anything in the middle soooooooooooo… the quality is freaking awful, but I couldn’t get it to work any other way! >_<
The good news is since now the file size shrunk so much I added 20 more seconds of "bonus" footage to make it to the 5 minute mark! LOL!
I very much don't think I will win a thing, but at least it's finished! XD
