I just won this lady… and now I’m kinda going… “What did I do!?”
I should be able to fix her up easily… and I don’t have any browns…
Something told me not to let her go under $50… 😯
Did I just make a mistake?
January 18, 2007 at 8:09 pm #489327January 18, 2007 at 8:14 pm #529297Congrats! I think you got a great deal!
January 18, 2007 at 8:19 pm #529298Nope, not a mistake, just a great opportunity. The fixes are not extensive, and depending where you display her, you may only need to put a dab of paint or none at all.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

January 18, 2007 at 8:32 pm #529300Thats a good buy. No worries! I hope you fix her up nice 😀
January 18, 2007 at 8:53 pm #529301I feel the same way! I just won this and I hope it was not a mistake. I have a lot of repair work to do!
January 18, 2007 at 9:02 pm #529302That was not too bad either, esp since you fix them up so well!
January 18, 2007 at 9:03 pm #529303Thanks guys! Ifeel better. ~LOL~

AWWW! good price on that one..! I have him at home… LOVE that little bugger to death!
Speaking of repairs… you should see my Gryphon Candle lamp… ::cries:: 😥 My cats knocked him over last week… SHATTERED the new red votive holder… and chipped him beyond belief.
I need to take pics and post them to see if I can fix him… or anyone else thinks they can… 😯 Their color is SO hard to match…
January 18, 2007 at 9:07 pm #529304You know, I was actually thinking of bidding on that myself. It’s still a really good price. I don’t think it is damaged too badly. All easy fixes by the look. I got one that is mangled, I still haven’t had the patience to fix it yet and it wasn’t much less then what you go it for.

Sorry to hear about your candlelamp, lady. If I didn’t like cats before, I definitely know I’m never getting one now. They seem to have something again griffins. 😕January 18, 2007 at 9:12 pm #529306I’m sorry about your griffin candle lamp – kitties can be sooooo bad sometimes:-/ I had to resculpt a piece on my dragon candle lamp. I must have bonked it when I was putting the glass holder in. I haven’t tried to mix up any paint yet, though. I’m sure it will be a challenge. lol
I think it’s kinda fun to fix them up. Mine may not be perfect, but they display nicely and that’s what counts to me. I think both of you got bargains and the end results will be worth the trouble.
January 18, 2007 at 9:14 pm #529307Whenever I think about getting a kitten for Justin I just come here and read a little bit and the feeling passes…
Fixing them up can be fun, though! Its great when something actually works perfectly and you can pat yourself on the back!

I almost put a bid in on that myself, but it got too high for me in the last 30 min. Toldja I’m poor. XD

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 18, 2007 at 11:44 pm #529309yeah i wanted that fledge! i bid like a wuss though because i have NO money now! lol! i was leaving for work too right then and couldn’t bid normally as i was rocketing out the door! plus, i just flatlined my accounts to secure a grand unicorn so i guess i should just be happy i got him at least. ack! i wanted him though, as i have the exact metallic green paint and have done repair work on other peeps sculptures for years, like perfecting the master piece an artist would make the mold off of, etc.. i love the sport of making it match and fooling people! ah well, serves me right for not bidding more. oh well. too much stuff i REALLY want right now, with retiring piece paranoia and all!
good luck fixing him, that’s an easy fix! -
