Nah I didn’t lose much, but the whole virus thing just stressed me out way too much. I have nightmares about viruses several times a week and if I even think about turning it on I have panic attacks. But today I was just like okay, there’s stuff i need to do, just do it and get it over with XD I was shaking for a while but it’s a little better now… not much though, still having a hard time typing. XD

That way, if my computer crashes, I can rest easy knowing I haven’t lost years of digital artwork, schoolwork, records and data. Just the stuff on my actual computer. It makes me much less nervous about viral attacks and losing anything. Maybe that would help you out?
What you said! I have two externals, one for Mac software and one for PC software.
August 12, 2009 at 1:09 am #755065I just have a flash drive for my pictures. ^^;
August 12, 2009 at 1:11 am #755066You should consider an external. They store a lot of information, and nowadays you can get a whole lot of memory at a reasonable cost. Data storage has reached a terabyte now!
August 12, 2009 at 1:15 am #755067Well I can’t afford one now… we might end up losing this house too D: we got kicked out of our other house in February and still we can’t pay the bills half the time x.x argh. Like I don’t have enough stress… @_@;
August 12, 2009 at 6:48 am #755068Aww. I’m sorry. I know what it’s like to deal with anxiety and sensitivity to stress. Something that really helps me put things in perspective is to ask “Will I be worrying about this tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Next 6 months?” When you realize that you’re worrying about lots of small things, and are able to stop, more of your energy goes into solving the bigger ones without you even trying, really.
[hugs!]
And you can probably get an external drive on Craigslist or Ebay for very, very cheap. Just check out how much data you have now. Double that would be an ok size to get, and probably last you a while. Depending on what you use your computer for, you may not need a very big drive at all, and might be able to get one for a real steal. It is worth looking into if you can. Best of luck !! You will be able to overcome all this!
August 13, 2009 at 12:31 am #755069I’ve done that–things go wrong and it seems that everything else is going wrong! It’s just one thing on top of the other and you’re reacting to everything bad in sight. The possibility of losing your home is bad enough and you don’t need all these other things on top of it. [Hugs] I’m hoping all will go well with you and that a good end will come to all of this. 🙂
