Maybe instead of a standing chick it could become a stretching/pouncing chick? Front legs on ground and butt in the air, like a stretching cat or a puppy doing the “play with me” bow. The proportions might be easier to disguise, and it would certainly give it more stability…
Interested in buying or trading for: GB Pebble Sitting Red Fox in dark grey, Lap Dragon Test Paints (Water Sprite, Glacial Pearl, Opulence, Pastel Rainbow, and many others - see my Classifieds ad), Blue Morpho OW, GB Pebble Loaf dragons in blue/aqua/teal, and Griffin Test Paints (Black Rainbow or Frosted Jade).
August 24, 2020 at 4:15 pm #1626927I think the proportion problem with the standing one is because lions have shorter legs in proportion to their bodies than horses do. Maybe you should try using cheetah legs as a reference instead since it is a longer legged cat.
in order to cast these, the legs need to be stout as possible!
That’s true. I really like the muscle detail you have going in the adult so far.

That’s one of the baby batch that just came out.
August 24, 2020 at 6:15 pm #1626951I’m more interested in the big momma hippogriff I saw once upon a time.
You know what my weak self control asks in response to that? Porque no los dos?
August 24, 2020 at 6:17 pm #1626952SierraDragon, thank you SO MUCH for finding it! I didn’t even consider it would have been in a video. Uhg I adore it so much. It AND mama. I’m going to go cry with Natasha while I try to stash money away.

September 1, 2020 at 7:13 pm #1627564Well, the legs may be short and thick for a foal, but for a lion cub they’re fine! I think he’s great just the way he is.
