December 31, 2008 at 8:37 am #682372The scary thing is this isn’t even close to everything I’ve done in the last few months. 🙂 I just don’t take pictures of all of it.
December 31, 2008 at 1:48 pm #682373😮 Wow you are good! 😀
I love your costumes! 🙂December 31, 2008 at 5:43 pm #682374December 31, 2008 at 9:43 pm #682375December 31, 2008 at 10:09 pm #682376I forgot the swatch pillows! Ooops.
These were made with leftover scraps and sample swatches from Tissavel/Premium furs. They’re my favorite fur fabrics, because they’re unbelievably soft. They feel like real animal fur, it’s really amazing. (Seriously. If you’ve ever petted a chinchilla? Their chinchilla fur feels like that!) They’re softer and more awesome than any other fabric I use. They also cost around $160 a yard. Yikes! Which is why I don’t use them more, and also why I save every teeny tiny scrap from them, and why I actually use old swatches instead of throwing them away.
I sleep sometimes with the big one on the left there. It’s roughly the size of a normal bed pillow, to give you some idea of the scale here.
I’ve been thinking of taking commissions for these, but the problem is that even the swatches aren’t cheap, let alone the solid fabric! (Costs about $25 for a swatch set that will make one large pillow.) I back them in cheaper, if still nice, fur, but that plus the time it takes to sew together all those tiny swatches means I’d have to charge something like $120 for the biggest ones. Which is a little steep for a pillow, even if it’s a pillow the feels like heaven when you touch it.
Someday when I have money I’m going to buy a whole yard of my favorite Tissavel fur, and just roll around on it! 😀
January 1, 2009 at 12:00 am #682377You’re new stuff is super cool! 🙂 I likes it 🙂
And for the one on the last page – boobies! (I am as mature as the rest of y’all)
January 1, 2009 at 6:51 am #682378All that stuff is neat, but I really love the pillows best of all. I might just get one from you at a later point. How big is the biggest one in the picture?
January 1, 2009 at 10:01 am #682379The biggest one there is about the size of a regular bed pillow.
January 1, 2009 at 3:07 pm #682380Wow!!! All of those are FANTASTIC SPark!
