This was taken this morning as the space shuttle Endeavour graces the Houston skyline for the final time.

How sad. I once took a photo of the shuttle when it was piggybacked upon the modified 747 when I lived in Houston. I was at Armond Bayou and was surprised to see it fly overhead.

We need a renewed interest in the space program here in the US.

I think there is a HUGE interest in the space program. Just not in Washington. 🙁

I watched a program on Nat Geo about a commercial spaceport being built in the middle of nowhere(US desert?). It will be taking tourists(with deep pockets) for a short trip into space.

I have stood out in my backyard and watch several spaces shuttles blast-off from Cape Kennedy or Cape Canaveral which ever you want to call it and it is just a fantastic sight
