Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been as productive on windstones as I hoped over the summer. But I got my Kitty Griff batch done and also had this guy sitting around complete for a while until he got photographed with the others.

Introducing Brass Fancy Kirin! Well at least he was inspired by a yellow brass crafted sculpture. It took a lot of figuring out what colors combined with metallics to get the right composition. I’m not sure if the fancy sculpture version is any easier to paint, but I still adore him. He is for sale with labour and supply = $210 + shipping if anyone is interested.

Lovely paint job – as usual πŸ™‚ I love your stuff!

I’m not sure I’m sold on the sculpt, though. The fancy kirin looks chubby to me, especially compared to his non-fancy brother/cousin. Am I the only one?

Your Brass Fancy Ki-Rin turned out Fabulous! πŸ˜€

I think that it’s COOL that the Fancy Ki-rin’s raised scales kinda look like Chainmaille – especially the way you’ve painted him in this color scheme!

Adorable! I’m loving those color tones, and you did such a great job painting him! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to paint one of the fancy ones myself, though I have no idea what colors to paint, hehe!

You pulled off the look of a brass/bronze sculpture beautifully. Really handsome paint job as usual. Just really nice work in the colors and pulling out the details.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments!

Now that I’ve compared the two different Kirins side by side the fancy one does have that extra layer for the banded scales, but I think it just makes it even more adorable XD

                            The Kirin is sold!
