Unfortunately, inspiration for the Raffle poems has now gone from the sublime – Poe’s “The Raven” followed by haikus – to the ridiculous! “Jingle Bells”? Really??? Can I blame it on too much eggnog?
Be that as it may (hic) … if you mix “Jingle Bells” with Windstones and shake vigorously, you get …THE DECEMBER RAFFLE PRIZE SONG
Dashing past the Store
And Forum on our way,
To Melody’s Blog we go,
Is a raffle announced today?
“Is a raffle planned?” we ask,
“A December prize?” we say,
As if Melody needs another task,
To do this Holiday.Oh, Raffle Prize, Raffle Prize,
Oh what could it be?
We hope and pray this is the day
A Raffle Prize we’ll see!A day or two ago,
I thought about the prize,
What kind of creature might
Appear before our eyes?
Unicorn, Poad, or Cat,
Dragon or Pegasus,
Or Griffin, Gargoyle, Pebble, Bat,
Or Kirin prize for us?Oh, Raffle Prize, Raffle Prize,
A chance for you and me.
Will a raffle begin? We hope to win
A gift from Melody!How does a Raffle go?
What are the things to do?

I wasn’t able to get a raffle prize together in time to post a picture for a December raffle, and I won’t be around to pick a winner until after the first week of January sometime, but if you guys would like to enter for a MYSTERY PRIZE of some kind , you can email me your forum name real name and address with the words:
