I would love to see the crazy coloured ones! Any idea when all the pegs would be done? Maybe by May? May is birthday month so that would be cool.

The Easter egg hatching Pegasus-es are pretty much a disaster. I think in order to save what is left of my sanity this month, I need to give up and move on to something easier to accomplish!

Yeah sorry to hear that on the Easter Egg pegasi. Were they fancy ones because I would be happy with just a plain coloured horse like white or palomino with a pastel coloured egg. I wouldn’t expect anything fancy.

I also wanted a normal colored pegasus with a pastel shell; speckled if that’s easier.
Hoping to get one hatching pegasus colored any way at all.*Sigh*
The eggs on the normal colored horses are normal egg colors, maybe with speckles. It was the colored eggs that were the problem, the plaster just wouldn’t paint smoothly unless I used a super thick, opaque color, like the “cream” color. Air brushing the colored paint made all sorts of weird patches of light and dark. This was possibly silicone contamination of the pieces when they were cast, making spots on the underside of the eggs that won’t take paint!I’m ready to dump the whole batch in the trash, and hide in a closet. With chocolate.

Would it work better if you do the eggs in similar colors like some of the recent test paint Hatching Dragons, and perhaps do contrasting colored dark speckles? Or do normal egg colors but varied color speckles (or splotches even?)?And some of the ones that aren’t as nice could maybe be put on the Raffle Cart instead of the trash…

So sorry as I was one of the Forum members who inquired about getting a Hatching Pegasus in pastel egg colors…. Never realizing the pastel egg part could/has been the isissue….
So could you do them as variations on the beautiful rose beige of their egg colors on the vintage Hatching Pegasus or thick white/ creamy white shells with maybe different Pegasus colors or different wing colors??
Would that be easier??
The pastel shells were only an idea; please can you make it easier on yourself any way you can ??
