I would buy a silver with either blue or straw colored eyes. Awe heck, who am I kidding… I would probably buy a silver no matter what! 😆 I prefer blue or straw though.
November 19, 2007 at 3:03 pm #637480But if they’re regular production, that means the stores would have to buy them eyeless (and a bunch of eyes) and put the eyes in when people bought one? It just seems like a hassle to me. And, I’d probably screw it up and get glue everywhere and the eye would be crooked so they’d look cross-eyed (and drug addicted, not that I agree, but for the humor of the thing). And then there’s the stones…
I’m still pushing for the silver dragons to be regular production. I think Melody should pick the eye color she thinks looks best in the dragon and make them with that color. If people don’t like the color, they don’t have to buy it. But if people really want silver dragons, then eye color shouldn’t matter.

That’s not what I meant. The stores would get silver dragons with blue/straw/whatever eyes already glued in. So you could display a silver with lavender eyes on one shelf, and a silver with straw eyes on another. Or side by side.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.

Retailers ordering different dragons with different eye colors would make them pull their hair out… and would result in the silver being retired quickly, or just being limited to one eye color. Just my 2 cents on that. But I don’t know… maybe it would be easier than I think. I have no idea how things run at the factory… but hear that it is hectic most of the time.
It’s different though with a small batch of LPs though. Melody could just make a set number of each eye color available in the store… already pre-boxed. So they don’t need to worry about special orders.
I would like for silver to be RP too… but they really need a warm color combo as the next RP color. IMO… silver is a cool color. So is emp/pea. The black/gold could go either way I guess. Gold is warm of course. Another warm would balance the current collection out nicely I think.
November 19, 2007 at 5:36 pm #637483I agree. One eye color. Cant please everyone.

It was explained somewhere that the eyes are not grey they are the Lavender eyes that seemed to pick up the grey
On the photo Arlla posted? The male looks like he has gray eyes. I’d still want gray… but if the lavender looks like it does in the photo (gray) I’d be fine with that too.
What photo is this? And where is it?

November 19, 2007 at 7:37 pm #637485I also think just one color of eyes would be best. I agree with the majority that the red eyes kinda creep me out…I think the purple or blue would probably work out the best unless you find a way to do metallic eyes…then I’d say metallic gold eyes. Can you figure a way to use gold flake in the eye backing I wonder…
November 19, 2007 at 8:01 pm #637486well, how about this…. since the LIGHT blue eyes were chosen for the silver poad, and it looks awesome, how about using the light blue eye in the silver dragons? ( yes, i know the poad has a much softer quality than the silver dragons, with their dark shading, but its worth a shot) it won’t be the same old medium blue used in the peacock, empea, etc. dragons….in fact i don’t think its ever been used in the dragons before. it has just enough color to differentiate itself from the dragons silver gray tones and not to mention the gray eyes, but isn’t quite as funky as the (livery) lavendar eyes. it seems like it could be a happy medium.
the next most popular eye color can then be offered on ebay as the “special ten” while the light blue eyed dragons be offered as regular production to compliment the gold dragons. 😀 problem solved! tee hee!November 19, 2007 at 8:10 pm #637487Maybe they can offer the “special 10” with the winner’s choice of eye color. I want a red-eyed one bad, in case you couldn’t tell. 😉 😆
November 19, 2007 at 8:30 pm #637488ooh now thats a coool idea!! wow! i think i remember from before the” pick your own eye color” thing left the door way too open for rip-offs, but if its offered via auction, with a document plus the piece signed on the bottom noting that it was pick your own, maybe that could be way they can make it happen! cool!

Squeak loud enough, and you might just get it. 😆
November 20, 2007 at 9:23 am #637490Thats a neat idea. The light blue eyes dont look bad at all. I just thought lavender would be something different.
November 20, 2007 at 1:55 pm #637491I just wish they would be put up for sale soon! I don’t care how it’s done… I just can’t take the wait any longer!
November 20, 2007 at 3:22 pm #637492Is it possibel that they could give the silver dragons blue eyes – but in a variation like in Olimpia’s SKs? I know there’s a name for the eye, but I forget it. Anyway, the normal eyes, with pupils, but with Spectral-like color variation in them.

I like that idea! ‘Course I’m partial to blue or lavender eyes with silver, simply because I like how ‘cool’ (as opposed to ‘warm’ colors) compliment each other.
