I personally would like the silver dragons with either straw or blue eyes.
Having eye color choice would be cool. It’s a great idea for those with different tastes. It shouldn’t be that much of a pain right? We got 3 different eye color choices on the first Poad, and there’s the PYOs too.
How can you send out production dragosn to stores with out eyes??
Would they send them eyes and tell the person buying them to glue them in on their own??
They do not want to get everyone buying direct from them and to try to make all those special orders for all the stores that carry Windstone would be a nightmareThat’s why they would have to be LE, LP or special order, right from the factory. I would think they would have to be paid for before the eyes were put in, so it would be a guaranteed sale.
I don’t think that the “specials” take away from the retailers. I try to support the retailers by buying production Windstones from them. Seems that most people here do the same thing.
November 17, 2007 at 10:02 pm #637450I agree. But, if it’s too difficult for Melody, I’ll be happy with whatever eye color she selects. 😉
November 17, 2007 at 10:03 pm #637451BUT we want these to be PRODUCTION silver dragons not LP or LE. If that was the case I could see it but not if the HOPEFULLY become production
November 17, 2007 at 10:12 pm #637452Yup, it really comes down to what Melody decides. We all have our own opinions on what looks/works best and we will all buy exactly what we want if/when they are issued, according to how much we like the result.

Thank you lamortefille. I was not talking about production silvers DM. I know that they cannot be sent to stores without eyes. I was only stating that eye color choices would be neat if they were LP.
But it’s Melody’s decision as to whether she wants to do that or not. We shall see though… just as everyone else said!
November 17, 2007 at 11:54 pm #637454I still don’t have a clear idea of which eye color to use.
The Lavender is obviously the most popular choice, but, as Arlla mentioned, the color is not as good as we’d like. It looks grey.
I hate to say it, but blue really looks best. There is a reason we use that color so much!
It is bright and friendly looking, and it goes well with the silver.
We can’t offer “your choice” eye color on these silver dragons easily, because they need to be boxed up, and ready to ship.
The pyos are different, because they are small and we can have a cart of them sitting around, eyeless, without too much wasted space until they get sold. The larger dragons can’t sit around on carts. They take up too much room.November 18, 2007 at 12:24 am #637455Melody wrote:I still don’t have a clear idea of which eye color to use.

It wouldn’t necessarily make them bad dragons… And it would also give them more individuality.
And something you said in another thread also stayed with me… you said that one reason you chose the blue eyes for the BG line was that they stood out more… I personnally wouldn’t mind if the eyes blended in with some of the color schemes, for example the silvers… I know that the grey eyes don’t stand out, but I still like their look. I remember I was looking at my dog a while ago and thinking to myself that her eyes really blended in well with the color of her fur, almost exactly the same shade of russet-brown.
Anyway… Just my two cents 😀
November 18, 2007 at 1:13 am #637457I would LOVE to see the Lavender eyes in the Silver dragons BECAUSE of the fact that they blend so well. I would also agree I’d LOVE to see a mischevious dragon plotting something. If any one could do it I know you could!!

I agree!
I don’t always like the eyes to stand out as badly as they do on the BG (I hate that, actually) so I would like the silvers to have Gray or Lavender eyes. I would want to buy the whole line of them just on them having gray or lavender eyes.
I also agree on the fierce statement. It’s not a bad thing.November 18, 2007 at 1:18 am #637459If the silver dragons are to be production, then Melody has to consider which eye color will have the most mass appeal. I’m not sure we represent the average buyer…..actually I’m sure we’re not average at all!!! 😆

Average maybe NORMAL NO WAY!!!!
November 18, 2007 at 2:22 am #637461Personally, I’m not fond of eyes that blend into the dragon. I’m not particularly fond of the rubies for this reason. There is really nothing that draws your eye to the piece. The black around the eyes didn’t really appeal to me either. For some reason it kind of bothers me like the “lipstick” bothered others.
That said, lavender or blue would be nice because they do provide some contrast without the stark contrast that the red eyes create. They might be the most universally appealing. I do still like the red eyes though. I like bold contrast.

November 18, 2007 at 1:20 pm #637463You hate to say I’m right or you hate to give in on the choice of eye color??? (j/k) 😆 😆
