OKAY, what did I do wrong?

      #540288

hmmm…I’m not good at these things. Wait a bit. Hopefully, someone that’s good at this will come along.

Make sure you don’t have any spaces between the tags and your URL. Also, before you hit “submit” try “preview” and you can tell right away if it’s working or not. At times I have had problems with the IMG tags and ended up using the URL tags instead.

First of all, the photo has to be hosted online somewhere. The forum won’t read it off your computer. Try http://www.villagephotos.com to host it. It’s free. Once you get it on there, they will give you a URL for it. Then you just copy and past it between the Img tags and it should appear.

Duh. I didn’t even notice it wasn’t a URL. I need more sleep tonight.

said my pic was too large to upload, may be a camera setting????

              #540293

No. That means the file size is too big. My suggestion….PM Whippet. She’s a pro at this stuff.

If you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager you can compress it for Web sites. Just right click on the photo and hover over where it says “Open with.” If Microsoft Office Picture Manager is one of your options, chose that.

On the top it should say “Edit Photo” or “Edit Picture”… click that. You will get a menu on the right. On the bottom it should say “Compress size.” Click that… choose “For Web Sites” then click okay. Then save it.

Then go back to VillagePhotos and try to upload it again.

Its some hand blown glass. I collect it too and that peice caught a pit of glare. It’s actually a large egg with some transparent dichroite glass in a spiral in the center. I have a friend who did all the pieces in the pic. Male black rainbow just came in today and I’m just smitten over him. Thanks so much for the help, I’m trying to become a little more computer literate.

Very nice. Is that a Peter Stone horse on the bottom?

Yes, he’s one of the opal arabians, probably my favorite run by peter stone.

He’s really beautiful. I have a number of Breyers, but I haven’t gotten a Stone yet. I keep looking at the Arabians though.
