My biggest year was 47…Ebay helped me with that though. 😆 That was back before it was as heavily populated ofcourse. When I won a Large black Wizard for $61 including shipping…Got the rest of my Green family for a song and a dance, and the the browns except the young. I got the 3 browns for just under $125 including shipping. My biggest problem was bidding against NirvanaCat and FrozenDragon back then. 😈

I’m here every once in a while.. but it gets to the point where there’s too much drama.. too much whining.. too many people trying to be crooked..

and it’s totally not fun like it used to be.. I miss the good old days of people being nice and doing things for each other.. and not trying to screw everyone over..

Hrmm… I’m sorry you feel that way. Admittedly I’ve only been here a little over 6 months but this is probably the nicest forum I’ve ever been on! So many people doing so many things for others! Sure, people are going to try and win the ebay auctions for the special paints but that’s just how ebay works. I’ve not seen anyone be crooked either but I’m not really looking for that so I dunno.

for the most part everyone here still is nice.. but there’s a lot of people that were here that made it really feel like family before.. but we’ve all kind of cut back a lot because of the BS that’s around..

and I could care less about people that win the auctions and special paints and stuff.. if you have the money good for you.. but if you’re spending thousands of dollars on them.. then whining how poor you are.. well that’s you’re own problem.. don’t spend money if you don’t have it..

and don’t try to make people feel sorry for you..

but anyway.. I think we’ve been over this before… moving on now.. :shrug:

Hahah Frozen, you are too funny.

The only thing I miss is being able to keep track of everyone. It made it feel a lot more personal. As it is, I just cant keep track of what has happened in so and so’s life… someones pet dies, someones spouse or kid is sick, someone dissapears off the forum altogether, and you just dont notice it like you would a few years ago. If you dont check the forum in a few days, these topics get buried by all the new ones, then its brought up later and its a big surprise. Otherwise, meeting the new folks is fun.

I agree! I’ve been on some really awful forums before that were just filled with ridiculous drama, name-calling and what-not. So far I’ve only encountered really nice and awesome people here. I dunno, maybe I’m a bit naive and still too new here to really have such an opinion.. 😕

This is true. I am here almost everyday, I just don’t always post…I remember counting and battling for who had the most posts and the biggest thing that people griped about was losing an ebay auction. Now it’s “This person did this to me” And “That person has too deep a pockets” and blah blah blah. All which can cause hurt feelings, and tension between the people here. Especially when it’s going on with yourself or a member you got closer to than others, and we try to defend our friends.
I still enjoy this forum, and it is one of the nicest ones I have been privy to belong to, but when it comes to people and hard earned money, anymore it’s a big argument. It just doesn’t feel as homey sometimes. 😕
And, yeah, Frozen you do stop by from time to time, and so does Cat 😀 . Like I said, alot of us are around here almost everyday, checking behind the scenes, but just not saying anything. Kinda sad for us oldtimers. 🙁 The good thing is there are new and nice members joining everyday. 😉
I just figure, as I always have, you can either like me or hate me. You can make your own decision on that. I would bend over backwards for the people who treat me well here to help them or whatever I may be able to do. But like in real life, there are always gonna be those you can’t get along with, or choose not to. 😉 And, I am good at keeping things to myself, until someone makes me feel like I got the run around or that they aren’t being fair to others, then I open up my mouth and say what I feel I need to say and that is that. Usually I am over it within a couple days. With exception to a few people I have gotten into it with here. 🙁

I’m here :bye: Always have been, at least once a day (holidays notwithstanding, of course). Just not on ebay – never really had the funds for those special pieces. I just admire them and envy the ones who get them 😀

I am here everyday and I try to bring a smile or two.Maybe even a giggle once in a while.It shouldn’t make any difference if we are a “newbie” or an “oldie”,we are all “goodies” 😀 People do get frustrated in their everyday lives and tend to let it flow over.I sometimes want to say something but I try not to.I try not to hurt anyone or make them mad.People tend to mis-understand your true feelings when it is typed out. 🙂
This is my one and only forum.I have peeked around and have found on most of them,there are some mean and vicious folks out there.Sometimes,we should just shut up and move on…like now 🙂

I’m another one who’s taken to reading more than posting lately. I’ve been trying to stay off the computer when my husband and son are at home so I can spend more time with them. Things are a bit shakey between hubby and myself lately so I’m trying not to aggravate things by being online too much.

I have had to cut way back too dut to money and time working 2 jobs
I post here and there and keep up hte hatchersy when needed but even that has cut way back so I’m not on as much
In regards to your other post about spending too much money and then complaining
I know I have done it in the past because the money I was supposed to be getting never showed up since the last 3-4 winters have not brought the rain or OT like I used to get
I have been trying to refraining from talking aobut money in here
I have also stopped looking at a LOT of the e-bay sales too just as a rpecaution NOT to be tempted too much
I have a list I’m trying to complete here and there and getting onesey twosesy here and there unlike when I have the MAJOR ot I used to have

Ski said it pretty well. It was easier to keep track of folks in ye olde days when there were fewer of us. But the new additions have brought all sorts of friendly, talented and funny people as well.

Uhm. I do have to say I LOVE this forum and, while there is drama from time to time, it’s really one of *the* nicest discussion/collection forums online. (And some of the whining about money, at least on my part, is mostly good-natured grumbling. I know I’ve had to cut way back on eBay bidding, but that’s actually helped my collecing obsession a bit.) 🙂
