With all the fancy pieces, and fancy prices, on ebay recently my “Ash” mother griffin gargoyle arrived with an inferiority complex. 🙁 However, I assured her that I had picked her out of ALL the other mother griffin gargoyles, which is true, and that I really like her in grey, also true, and now she is much happier. 🙂
In my opinion, a grey color for the gargoyles is better than the “stone” color:
The Grey is gorgeous. She looks like she could be roosting on a Gothic Cathedral!

I thought her Ash gray color was very lovely and well suited to her being a garg too.

Shell Pink Riser arrived today (almost in time for Easter). 🙂 He is gorgeous in the sunlight! His eyes do seem lighter than my other Risers. Maybe his eye sockets are not as dark.

It looks as though he is about the size of a PYO winged wolf? I was thinking he was closer in size to the Lion. Now I’m not sure if I want one to go with my lions or not …

Although I suppose the fact that he was sculpted as a pebble should have been a clue for me….. I like that he’s smaller than I thought – I might have room for one. 🙂
I appreciate it when folks post pictures of pieces next to another to give an idea of size. Sometimes it’s hard for me to picture just by the measurements.
ah, I have never seen a winged wolf or lion in person so i have no reference for you.
The lion is BIG, very similar in size to the mother dragon. The winged wolf is about the same size as the mother pegasus.
Actually, considering that cougars are actually much smaller than lions in real life, maybe the size difference between the two sculpts is appropriate.
The cougar is beautiful! Thanks for the photos! I think the size is perfect since it is part of the pebble line. I wouldn’t want it any bigger or it would be out of place.
