Finally found the Terra Cotta emp’s permanent spot. I regigged both shelves to accommodate him and my nifty dragon skull I got for Christmas.
(and I need to start using the actual camera instead of my iPad to take pics)Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

February 22, 2019 at 2:34 pm #1558292Aggie, thank you! I’ve never been able to narrow my collection down to any one “type”. It’s all over the place! 😂
Lisa, if I remember correctly, the first version had less black. The second had more black/more contrast.
Natasha, I love that silver koi-rin so much! She is one of my favorite pieces in my collection!
February 22, 2019 at 2:42 pm #1558296I got my trades in. They are each much more green than I expected. They have a new house, and some friends to hang out with. Still kinda bummed I didn’t manage to get one of the gold and white koi oris. I am looking forward to picking up a couple more of these guys in production colors, like white and shell pink. It seems I already have a “pastel rainbow” one. 😛

February 22, 2019 at 2:46 pm #1558299Beautiful sitting oris! I couldn’t get a grab bag so I’m also looking forward to production! I’m not sure which color I’d get, though. Oh, decisions! 😂
February 23, 2019 at 5:29 am #1558384Version 1 silvers has a lot less black on them. Version 2 had a lot of black on them. And if you look at the 1st dragons that were produced in silver ie the lap dragons, they have even less black on them than the Version 1 silvers in sculpts later made in that color. Not all of the sculpts were painted in the original silver and then when they were painted in the version two they didn’t look like families. So Melody went back and did the version 1 to make matching families. I have a 1st run silver lap. I’ll see if I can get some pics so you can see.

Sun Dragon Koi #3February 23, 2019 at 5:39 am #1558385The silver hatching royals were also painted in the original silver color. And I think the curlies both the lavender and blue eyed ones from the 1st (only maybe) batch.
And I want to the think the original male dragon and momma had 1 run in the original color. The color changed before I had a chance to get all of them and I didn’t care for Version 2, so I moved on to other Windstones.Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
