I would take some of the heavier dragons off the glass shelves till you find out what the weight limit is. Just to be on the safe side.
February 4, 2009 at 2:31 am #654315I used to have two emperors on each glass shelf before I re arranged, so I might just take the OW down for now until I hear back from them… 🙂

February 4, 2009 at 2:43 am #654316My slelves are a 1/4 inch thick, 11 inches wide and 29 1/2 inches long… I don’t trust them to hold one OW! He is on the bottom resting on the wood! My mother dragons are 7 lbs each and set on separate shelves on the sides closes to the pins that holds the glass up.
The guy that I talked to who cut those shelves said it is best not to put anything heavy in the center of the shelves. But he also didn’t know what their weight limit is, so I am going to play it safe and keep the heavyer pieces on the very bottom!February 4, 2009 at 5:03 am #654317Most of my shelving is custom made, steel brackets, wall mounts, and 2×4 framing…they’re not going anywhere… 😀
Unless there’s a tornado..or earthquake…or a really clumsy person runs head long into them.. ( of course they’ll prob hurt themselves as bad..or worse.. than the sculpts.. )
February 4, 2009 at 3:21 pm #654318My glass shelves are doing VERY well but all my Emperors are on the bottom wood shelves of my curios. Well Except for my OW he is on the top shelf of the left cabinet right under the light. He has a Jessica Rabbit sculpture behind him and everyone thinks it looks like she is riding him

July 2, 2009 at 8:15 am #654323My dad is much better at home improvement than I am, and he came over yesterday and helped me put up some shelves – these are the ones over my desk! My entire collection is now on display in my home, instead of in boxes in the buffet! This isn’t all of them though. *hides* There’s more scattered elsewhere around the house. But this is what I see when I walk in the front door!
Makes me smile every time. 😀

I’m suck a geek. 😀 Eleu bought me a Muse and had her shipped to me when I was going through a rough patch, and she wrote the sweetest note in the ‘customer notes’. Suzie highlighted it and I framed it.
😀
July 3, 2009 at 7:20 am #654327Is that Mother Unicorn missing her horn? What’s her story?
July 3, 2009 at 2:13 pm #654328Very nicely displayed! It’s nice seeing collections again 😀 Mine keeps getting smaller so it’s not worth photographing.
