My repaired old greens are now home! 😀 They look fabulous, thank you Kyrin! My collection missed them.

I have a question about the mother, though. I’ve only found two other pictures of old green mothers on the forums, and each one seems different in the details. Mine, for instance, has both gold, blue and purple on the shoulder and haunches, while others that I’ve seen don’t have all three. Which one is the ‘standard’ paint job? Or did they even have a standard back then? Was it left up to the artist? Anyway. Just curious. 🙂 I’m happy they’re home!

You’re right…mine doesn’t have the gold where yours does. Most of her gold is very faded, too, where yours is bright and shiny. Did Kyrin refresh your gold?

I’m pretty sure she did…I don’t remember her being this shiny.
Interesting that yours doesn’t have the gold…mine’s got a felt bottom, so she’s not too old. Does yours have the stamp?

I can’t say that I’ve ever seen them with the gold on the shoulders and the haunches. That might be a good thing to ask Melody about.

She has a felt bottom. The male I have doesn’t have the felt bottom and his gold is shiner than hers (and he has more gold, too). I guess part of it is where/how they were stored and cleaned?

I really envy all you people who have all your Windstones on one big shelf/counter/cabinet! Your collections look so beautiful and unified. Mine are currently divided between two states, and even if I brought them all together I wouldn’t have any furniture big enough to hold them all as a unit.

My old green doesn’t have the gold either. Just the blue and purple. Weird…
