It does look like bamboo stone…neat!
March 12, 2008 at 10:17 am #653730Yup, we learn something new on here every day! π
March 12, 2008 at 11:42 am #653731I really like that sphere on the gold stand next to the bamboo stone one. It looks like maybe fluorite or labradorite? Or something totally different? It’s purdy whatever it is!

Thanks! That is a very chatoyant piece of pietersite. The one on the glass candle holder is also pietersite, but has no chatoyantcy. The red one is brecciated jasper and the green one is fluorite.
March 12, 2008 at 7:10 pm #653733I wanted to show my prints, and also Laphon showed some intrest in seeing them. The newest one I got was sooo extremely detailed with little critters I had to take close ups so you could tell they were there. LOL
Here is C-1709 Unicorn Child (1982) 17×21
Here is The larger Unicorn Print (1981) it is 17×21 also, but I do not know the name and there are no #’s on it.
Close-up…
This is C-1101 Unicorn w/Blackberries (1981)
Mouse close-up…
This is my newest print, it is of wild animals. I don’t know the name or numbers for this print, they aren’t on the print itself like two others I have. I took one whole pic, and shot the pic closer in 4 quarters because of all the little critters snuggled in there. It is sooo detailed! Here goes…
Bottom right quarter…
Bottom left…
Upper left…
Upper right…
I’m not sure why some of them took on a painbowish quality…the paper is NOT rainbow, it is white. The plastic is still on the large unicorn and the unicorn with berries came in a sleeve, but the plastic is off the Unicorn Girl and the one with animals. I plan to get them all framed this summer…They will look good with my shelves and candlelamps… π

Okay, I at least knew the green one in the back is fluorite. π
Where do you get all these cool spheres? Online, or do you have a rock shop near you?

I have gotten 99% of them on eBay. I just stick with sellers that show the actual piece you are bidding on. The places around here are just too expensive:-/
March 12, 2008 at 8:42 pm #653743I’ve had the larger unicorn print since 1988-89….it’s sitting behind the couch in a cheap plastic box frame. π I just have no wall space.
I’ve never seen the other ones…thanks for sharing. π
